My husband and I are looking for a place for vacation (about 1 week) where my 22 month old boy can enjoy it too, any suggestion? We don't mind flying as long as it's not like 10 hours flight.

Timber Ridge Water Resort at the Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva is where we go. It's an indoor water park within the hotel. You pay for the waterpark with your hotel room & have pretty much all-day access to the waterpark. There are also 2 outdoor pools & 2 indoor tube slides. www.timberridgeresort.com

We took our son to Christmas Mountain Village in Wisconsin Dells last summer when he was 21 months. He loved it. It has a really nice indoor pool (as well as some outdoor ones). The indoor pool has a special area for little ones. The Dells themself do not have alot to offer kids this age but we had so much fun just hanging out at the pool. I hope you get some better ideas as I am very interested too. We will probably be taking our son back to this resort this summer(he is 2.5 now).

About 2 years ago, we took our youngest son, who was just about 2, to Sesame Place. It's near Philadephia, PA and it's a small theme park, mostly for toddlers/preschoolers, although after checking out the website Sesameplace.com, it looks like they've added on since we were there. My son had a great time. It's all outdoors, so you'd have to go when it is warm, but it was a lot of fun. Check out the website. I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, but it was fun for us. Good luck and have a nice vacation, where ever you end up going.

If your into the outdoors and don't want to travel far. White Pines State Forest has cabins you can rent (Pine Creek Cabins)at reasonable prices. My son (when we went, was 16 months)loved it! -My daughter was 4 months. The outdoors is great for the whole family.

San Diego is a great place to vacation with kids. There's the S.D. Zoo, Sea World, Balboa Park, the Wild Animal Park, the Scripps Aquarium, the beach and tide pools (La Jolla has nice tide pools), Mission Beach has a nice path (kind of like the path here by the lake but way busier) for walking/biking (you can rent bikes with kid seats or trailers), Old Town, and lots more kid-friendly things. Don't stay at Hotel Circle - cheap but not that nice. Pacific Terrace is a great hotel on the beach but can be very expensive ($300/night but I once got a deal for about $170/night). Check on the web especially Orbitz, Expedia etc. as you can sometimes get a good deal there. There are TONS of kid-friendly restaurants everywhere. I would reccomend renting a car and parking is easy in most places. It's one of our family's favorite places to go!

Hi C.J. We have a 3 year old and a 21 month old. We've taken a few vacations with both boys (hawaii, scottsdale, michigan, los angeles, nyc). All included hotel stays except michigan, where we rented a house. Michigan is the only place the family got some sleep. My advice is, wherever you go, find a condo or house to rent. It's often more affordable, and definitely more comfortable for the family.

At 22 mos he's old enough to understand and enjoy Disneyland or Disney World and he's still under the age of 3 so he's free. We took my daughter at 13 months (Grandma's idea) and I was skeptical, but she actually enjoyed some rides, the parade, etc. A 24 month old we know just went and loved it and couldn't stop talking about it.
