Where Can I Find Double Strollers?

Does anyone know of a store in Dallas or Plano that has a good selection of double strollers? I am looking for a lightweight side by side stroller for a newborn and a 2 year old. I've been to Target and Babies R Us and neither of them had a very big selection in stock. I have found some on-line, but I'd really like to see it and use it in a store before buying it, to make sure its what I want.

What can I do next?

I bought my double stroller at USA Baby (now called Lone Star Baby and Kids) They had a big selection and I was able to test drive them with my son in the store. The sales people were really helpful also.

My husband and I bought a Joovy stroller, it's great...very lightweight. The nice thing about ours is that our oldest can stand or sit on the back, while our baby can ride in the front! Those are great! You can get them at USA Baby, Babies R Us....or just go to their website and look at them. The one we use is the Orange one that looks like a single, but it's not. http://joovy.com/

It's great for older children that just want to sit or take a ride for those long walks where there legs get so tired.

I would try Lone Star Baby and Kids in Frisco (formerly USA Baby) off Preston road, just north of 121 or there is a location in Dallas at Central and Royal Lane I think. They have a lot in stock that you can "touch and feel". I am with you, I wanted to see my double stroller before I purchased it! Good luck.

Although it's pricey, I highly recommend the BOB revolution duallie! It's super light, has an infant adapter bar for the carseat, seats recline independent of each other, sun canopy comes down far, front wheel swivels or locks, and basically moves on it's own it's so smooth. It folds up easily and does well in the mall even though it's a side by side.Try Luke's Locker in the Shops of Legacy. They have the singles, but can get you a double. Good Luck!

USA Baby in Frisco (Near Preston a couple of miles North of Stonebriar mall)had 5-6 side by sides on display about a month ago and their staff was pretty knowledgeable about the advantages/disadvantages of each. They are up on a shelf but don't hesitate to have them get them down to try them out.

If you aren't opposed to second-hand, you could try Once Upon a Child in Garland near 78 & 190. I bought a really nice double stroller there. They are clean and pretty picky about what they accept to resell, so it's just a matter of them having what you're looking for at the time you want it.

There's a nice Right Start store in west Plano - at Preston and Spring Creek in the Lakeside/Weir's shopping center. It's at the corner of the parking lot closest to the intersection in that front grouping of buildings. I've bought lots of things there and I've seen double strollers there, too. The salespeople realy knew their stuff and let me try out the strollers and, the day I bought a carseat, the saleslady came out to the parking lot and installed it with me. If you don't see what you're looking for there, you could go over to REI (Preston and Park or Parker, I forget which) where they have BOB strollers. I have a single BOB but I think that they make a double, too. Good luck!
