Hi Moms,
My 5 yr old is starting her 1st dance class next week and I do not have any ballet or tap shoes.
Everywhere I've looked, I have been unsucessful with finding any.
Please let me know where I can find some "reasonably priced" Tap and Ballet shoes.
Somewhere close to Rowlett/Garland/Rockwall will be great but willing to travel further to find them.

Believe it or not, Payless shoes has ballet shoes, but i don't know about tap shoes. Another idea is a resale shop. I know there is a resale shop in Allen, Tx on Greenvlle Ave that has a bunch of tap shoes too. They are located across the street from Brookshires, a couple doors down from Subway.

We got my daughter's ballet shoes at Payless and her tap shoes at Kid to Kid.
Many years ago, I used to find them at Payless. However, as my daughter progressed and became much more involved in dance (she was ultimately in a ballet company), we always had good luck at Sandy's Dancewear on Gus Thomasson in east Dallas. http://store.sandysdancexpress.com/
Although, I'm not too sure about "reasonably priced"; they will have everything you need.

Have you tried Payless? They usually have both at a much better price than a dance store.
You can get them at some Payless stores. Just call the ones in your area and see. I know the one at Town East mall has them.
You could also try www.zappos.com. I had good luck with them. Hopefully you can catch some on sale.
You can find tap shoes at walmart..as for ballet shoes try ebay??
Sandy's at Gus Thomasson and Ferguson (NE on the other side of Walmart Neighborhood Market....for high quality, protect the feet shoes.........also really cute dance clothes.....be sure and check out their sale rack!
