Ladies,
I so need some major help! This Thursday (5/5/11) is my husbands 35th birthday and I so dont know what to wear on his special day! We are celebrating his birthday at the same restaurant we've been celebrating it for I dunno how long. Last year I wore a strapless black and white dress with a red waistband with some red pumps. I love dresses and would like to wear another for this birthday as well, but the only bummed out thing is that i gave birth to our daughter about two months ago and still have a lil baby fat left over. Now I'm in search for the perfect dress but also don't have an idea where to get it. Any suggestions???
Thanks!

Have you thought about a wrap dress? I felt like it was a flattering post-baby choice for me. The waist is a little higher and it hides the little bulge you might have left. Plus it will still be stylish and fit after you've lost the rest of the weight.

A wrap dress or a dress with a cute cardigan are great ideas! Just remember that your husband loves you and you are beautiful. You just had a baby, that's wonderful! Now go out and celebrate and have a fun night!

After I gave birth we celebrated my husband's birthday. I wore a black dress with an empire waist. It hugged me up top but flared out at my belly.

That paired with some sexy heels and I was good to go!

You can also wear a black skirt paired with a dressy sweater that covers your belly too.

Have fun!!!!

You can do an empire waistline dress that is baggie in the belly, you can do a baggie shirt and a cute mini skirt with boots, you can do a long baggie dress and wear leggies underneath and flats or boots. A wrap dress would be pretty too and would hide most belly bulge especially if it is black. You can wear a spanx too if you think it is just a bit and can be sucked in. You can buy spanx at Dillards, Stein Mart, etc Wear a nice, tight, cami underneath to help suck in your belly and leave no creases or lines. I think shirts and skirts are best b/c you can't see where your belly actually is bulging. You can also wear a sleevless dress and wear a cute jacket over it. You can get cute jackets at Ann Taylor Loft, Old Navy, New York and Co, etc Wear a waistlength cute jacket that just hits the top of your pants or right below for that little side/profile coverage.
then, don't worry about it, I am sure your husband will think you look great anyway! have fun!

try Ross if you have one there or Target. They have reasonable prices for a dress you might not wear after the weight is gone. Go with black it hides the flaws best. a soft cotton perhaps.

Target always has cute dresses. Just put a cardigan or some type of sweater over it and you will cover up the extra lbs. The wrap dress idea is a good one too.

I love the empire waist. It hides my pooch and I'm very small chested and don't think I have a wrap dress body. I've had good luck at Macy's and JCPenney in the past for dresses. Happy Birthday to your Husband, mine will be 38 on 5/5.

Wrap dress or those shirt dresses are really popular right now. They have belts which creates a waist and then makes a little poof over stomach area which is where I always have an issue. Target or CATO if you have one close.
