Ok, I am a little scare.
We have an alarm system at my home, the windows make a bip sound and the door rings if opened regardless if the alarm is set up or not (meaning it would call the company if somebody enters the house).
Yesterday I was sitting when I hear the ring and I got scare, but nothing happened and everything was close.
Today, I was watching tv when the window and the door sound, I got scare but when to check, nothing, I set down and it happened again! as I get up it sounded again!
I went to check and nothing but I did freak out a little because everything was closed and locked.
Has this ever happened to you?
Should I start charging to visit the haunted house?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Oh my, this is staring to look like a scary movie, I can't find my cell phone!
I found my phone calling now.
Just call them and they say everything looked fine and no idea what happened and ask me if I was sure it happened?!!
Are you freaking kidding me?
I must say I haven't get this scare in long time.
Sam: we don't have a cat, but that is funny.

We had one on our basement window. It was not a perfect seal so any time a little draft would kick through, the alarm would sound. Drove me nuts having ot go down there and check it out. And of course, when I stood there for 45 minutes, nothing happened.

We once had one of those wireless doorbells on the back of our house. Stupid thing would ring if it got windy.

Could be a zone malfunction. Usually when my alarm is acting strange I just call the alarm company, they tell me which zone is tripping and we figure out if we need a service call. Most of the time the chirps tell you what has gone wrong.

Have you had any bad weather. My house was struck by lightening and it damaged the mother board. It really acted strange, like to the point we pulled the battery to make it stop chirping until the alarm company could replace it. :(

Victoria is probably spot on. We don't have an alarm system like you do but we do have an interconnected series of fire alarms that will sometimes give little warning beeps and blips if the backup battery is getting low. They'll also fire off if the sensors are dusty. You should check all the places where your alarm has triggers and vacuum all the dust-bunnies away from them as well as check the battery.

this is going to sound really stupid but i figured id ask..other than the battery or some kind of malfunction in the system.. do you have a cat? for the longest time my grandmother could not for the life of her figure out why her alarm would randomly go off in her house.. turns out that with the type of sensors she had.. every time her cat would jump up on the window sill or walk his little feet up the front door to stretch it was setting the alarm off lol .. good luck

That is scarey but sometimes power surges or other things can cause the alarm to sound. It happened once with our doorbell. Just kept ringing and no one was there. We finally just disconnected it. I know that's no an option for your alarm system, but just wanted you to know it happens.
