My daugther is in the first grade and this is her first year in public school. The school she in is over crowded I guess, and they have moved her to two different classrooms and she has five different teacher in one 9 weeks. The work the teachers are given her is easy to her so she gets in trouble. I tried to set an appointment with the principle but she won't call me back. I work at night and I sleep during the day if I can but I still mannage to make up my own work for her on her level. I don't know should I keep her at the school or change her. But if I change schools she would have to go far from where we live and day care won't pick up that far. or should I home school her which would leave me very little sleep with my work schedule.

What can I do next?

What side of town do you live on? My child currently goes to a school that is in the downtown area...John E. Ford Elem. It has the Montessori styled learning. Offers grade pre-K thru 8th. She is in the second grade and has been going there since Kindergarten. It is a very good school, one of those magnet type. The classes are moderately sized (less than 20). The teachers are very personal with each child. You WILL have a relationship with your teacher. They are very compassionate there for the kids.

They have transportation, no matter what side of town you stay on they have a bus to get them there. My daughter went to 3 different schools her Kindergarten year until I found this school. It is truly wonderful.

They also offer Spanish Montessori. If you need to speak anymore message me...I WILL RESPOND. I truly hope this helps.

I would suggest you go to the school and try and find out why they keep changing classes. Just let them know that you don't want her changed anymore. Any school where the principal want return calls is not a good sign.

Stay encouraged and don't give up.
