So What Happened?

THANK YOU! for ALL the great responses! WOW!

I am still undecided, but now I have some input from others.

Our last name is 2 syllables.
His brother is Isaac Logan.
The boys will have two uncles named Micheal, I know it sounds good, but we were kind of trying to stay away from family names.
I also prefer the traditional spellings of names.

Thanks again!

I like Aaron Cole because it sounds secret agent-ish or Aaron Scott because it has more of a sophistication sound to it.

Or you could do what we did is take the first name of either a father or grandfather for the middle name.

I love the way Aaron Scott sounds...
Seems manly and strong.

My second choice would be Aaron Zachary, because it flows well and the AZ combo is cooooooool. ha ha

Good Luck to you!

Are any of those names that you're looking at for middle names a name of a family member? If there is I'd go with that one. If not I would go with the Aaron Scott or Aaron Lucas

I depends on your last name what flows well. Check initials too. If your last name starts with an S don't go for Scott. If your last name starts with V, I can't think of any problems. I know two Aarons. They are Aaron Michael and Aaron Daniel. Both like their names. Good luck.

Aaron Joseph came to my mind first. I think J names flow well with the first name Aaron. (James, John, Jacob)

Off your list I like Aaron Lucas.

I would definitely stick with the normal way of spelling Aaron. Otherwise your child will spend the rest of his life correcting people. Congrats!

Obviously you can't give us your last name, but I think picking a name is about how all three names sound together. Based off just the two names, I vote for Aaron Hunter. I know someone who spells it Aern...I've always liked different names so I thought I'd offer a different way of spelling it, if you are interested.

I also have an Aaron so I was intrested in seeing what names you had chose for a middle name. For our children we go with the godparents first or middle name for the child's middle name and in this case I went with his godfathers middle name being Lee. Aaron Lee. Best of luck on your choice.

To me it would depend on how many syllables are in your last name. two syllables for first, middle AND last name would sound weird to me. but if you have several syllables in your last name I think Aaron Cole is nice or something else with one syllable in the middle.

I named my 2nd son Aaron as well, nice choice :) His middle name is james and last is cole. For both our boys we chose middle names that have family significance. Pick a name that goes well with your last name. If the last name is just one syllable I would go with a 2 or 3 syllable middle name. if it's more than one than I'd go with a one syllable middle name. Personally, I like Lucas.

I vote for Aaron Rhys, but I'm kind of partial to Rhys. It's my son's name, although we spell it Reece. By the way, it means "ardent, on fire, passionate, zealous", so watch out! Plus, I just think it sounds good with Aaron. Good luck!

I vote for Aaron Scott. Aaron Cole is nice too. The rest I'm not crazy about- but who cares what I think. Go with the one you keep thinking about each time you think about baby names. Middle names are not really important anyway so it's okay to do something more special to you. My niece's middle name is Marine, because my sister was in the Marines. The only thing you really need to avoid with middle names is spelling something when the name is abbreviated, like ELK or BRO [I'm sure there are worse you can think of]. Good luck picking a name and congratulations!

I have an Aaron. His middle name is Jonathan. (-: I think it sounds best to mix up the number of syllables so I would go with a one syllable choice (Cole, Scott or Luke) or a three syllable choice (Zachary). Personally, since Aaron is a traditional name, I prefer it with a traditional middle name so Rhys and Hunter wouldn't be my first choices, but some people might like to mix it up--pair a traditional name with something a little more contemporary or trendy. You might want to consider what the initials would be also. For example, I once met someone in a formal business situation who was a very large man named Frank A. Thomas (or Thompson or something similar). He had the initials "FAT" on his expensive, custom-made shirt. It was hard not to chuckle. Good luck and congratulations on the new baby.

Luke or Lucas, strong and simple. Rhys? What is that? Cole, too many things that rhyme with it. Zachary, to many sylables (spelling I know wrong), Scott, everyone (except one) was an a-hole. Hunter, no, just no. Sorry, but Congrats on th baby!! :)

My husband and a cousin of mine are Aaron Michael. I like Aaron Zachary, but it's kind of hard to see which would work better with your last name. Pick the one that you like the best and also that daddy likes the best. We chose not to name any of our children after family members, but if you want to do that, do any of your choices have any correlation to family? Good luck picking your little boy's name! I found the boy names the hardest to pick out.

I like Aaron Scott the best of those definitely. But a lot depends on the last name as well, maybe you could update with a last name. The one I like least is Aaron Lucas or Aaron Luke. I like the name Lucas and Luke but I don't think they don't really go well with Aaron. Good luck choosing!

Ok, I know you listed these middle names, but I'm going to give you 2 more ideas that I like and we almost used. Ultimately we decided on Ryan Robert. But at one time we liked Aaron Robert and my favorite at the time was Aaron Wesley. But out of the ones you listed, I like Aaron Scott the best.

Good Luck in your decision.

Congratulations on your new little one on the way. Names are so difficult to decide on. I had the name all picked out for my oldest son but once I saw him the name did fit so I picked out one that fit him. All the names above are cute.. have you an ancestor or family friend that you might want to make the middle name.. something special that he could be associated with. My oldest son just had a little boy his middle name is the same as my husbands middle name. They did that because my husband (who recently passed away) would never meet him and they wanted a piece of my husband associated with their son. Just a suggestion.
