We usually have a Veggie Tray, Cheese with Crackers, Mini Pigs in a Blanket, Homemade Chex Mix, and Spinach Dip and Hawaiian Bread for an appetizer... then the Turkey, Ham, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Rolls, Corn Caserole, Green Bean Caserole, Sweet Potatoes, and Cranberry stuff for the main course... Then the Pecan Pie, Apple Pie (homemade by ME!), Lemon Merigne(sp?) Pie, Cookies, Texas Sheetcake, and I think that is about it!

Love the family time and food! What are your traditions?

APPETIZERS & MUNCHIES: fresh mixed nuts....love cracking them; freshly-made pumpkin seeds; vegies/crackers & either dip or cheeseball.

DINNER: turkey, mashed taters, sweet potatoes, Mom's lightly-saged dressing - never from a box, fresh cranberry sauce, my DH's gravy, & a relish tray....have to have those black olives to make witch's fingers! I can't believe the kids are all older now & still do it! Oh, & we also do a green vegie....never a green bean casserole....more often a fresh salad - usually with a raspberry dressing. Oh, oh!! & fresh bread & rolls!

DESSERT: pumpkin dump cake, pecan pie, & something sugar-free for my DH.

We have to have punch....only it's usually spiked now that the kids are older. Wine from our local winery. & lots of coffee, tea, & hot cider.

We usually have a veggie tray, a cheese ball and crackers, a relish tray (olives/pickles), Crispix Mix (waaayyyy better than Chex!), and hot spiced wine (German Gluehwein) out before dinner.

For dinner I make my special, injected and rubbed Cajun turkey. I do a special recipe mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, sauteed green beans, sweet potato fluff casserole, cranberry sauce, and hot rolls.

For dessert, I usually do a pumpkin pie and a New York cheesecake. And decaf....there has to be decaf!

We do these appetizers:
Deviled eggs (homemade)
Smoky Links (homemade)
cheese and crackers
pistachios or other nuts
chocolates (Russell Stover)

Main meal:
Turkey - homemade
Mashed Potatoes - homemade - my favorite part of the meal along with the gravy
Stuffing - from a box
Gravy - homemade from drippings - YUM
Corn and Peas - frozen from a bag, but we add plenty of butter and salt
Candied Yams - homemade
Rolls - from the grocery store
Cranberry Sauce - the cheap canned stuff - love it!

Pumpkin pie for dessert - We get it from a nice local bakery

Oh wow!! Yummy!

Well we do a cheese/crackers/salami tray, veggies and dip, pigs in a blanket, and spinach dip for appetizers. Sometimes we trim it down, but thats normal.

For the meal its turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, broccoli casserole, sweet potato casserole, dressing, macaroni and cheese, rolls, gravy, and cranberry if anyone remembers it. I can't stand it so I don't buy it :).

For dessert (which we normally never eat) is an apple pie and a pumpkin pie.

My tummy hurts just writing it all down :).

For the tradition - broccoli casserole is a recipe passed from my mom's mom to my dad, to me, and on to my 8 year old. She makes it herself...of course I cook the broccoli, but she does the rest. And she refuses to tell ANYONE our secret ingredient.

Appetizer.. is always different. Bacon wrapped Jalapeno shrimp, maybe a cheese ball or a veggie dip. We all try out new recipes..

We all say what we are thankful for, before the meal begins.
We also usually speak with our daughter who does not come home from college for Thanksgiving.. As we prepare the table for dessert.

And my mother usually hosts. Her rule is we sit down at Noon. If you are late you can join in when you get there. She has trained us well. We usually all get ourselves there on time..

Roasted Turkey, Cornbread stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes (my secret is real butter and canned milk), spicy Broccoli rice casserole, Crispy Salad, Fresh Green Beans sauteed with butter and pecans, Buttered rolls. Iced Tea or Wine.

Dessert ~Homemade Pumpkin Pie, Homemade Pecan Pie, Fresh whipped Cream with Mexican Vanilla, If my Aunt joins us, she brings her famous Italian Creme Cake.. Coffee regular and decaf.. with Kahlua..

I am already hungry..

We only do a relish tray to munch on before dinner, but I really like the ones you listed! I might have to try those next time! We do the same thing every year...Turkey, Ham(not this year), Mashed Potatoes, Scalloped Corn(this is the favorite), Stuffing, Cranberry Relish(which is new since my hubby made me make his mom's recipe...all happy he did...so yummy!), Rolls, Gravy, Green Bean Casserole...Chocolate Pie, Pumpkin Pie. The 'real' pumpkin pie will be new for me this year! My sister wants me to make one and I never have before...should be fun! And then I have to make one from the canned pumpkin.

I can't wait until next week! All at my home this year...which I love!!!
