DO you have things in your food index that your kids will eat as much as you will let them?? What are there sugar Favorites...And what are their healthy Favorites??....What do the Absolutely HATE??

Oldest: Loves grown up food. Has odd taste buds for six....He loves Savory things...Like we went out for dinner for Grandpa's birthday Saturday...and his Favorite Doggie bag item was the Lobster Mash Potatoes. On a normal basis his Fav's are Cheese Sandwiches and Chocolate milk. And could eat Milky Ways all day if we let him.

Milk shake in the middle: He is naturally vegetarian. Which I LOVE because I am a part time Vegetarian(for health reasons). He could eat Craft Mac and Cheese for the rest of his life. Spaghetto's would be his back up plan to change things up. His sugar addiction goes to the Wafers with the cream in the middle. He loves to pull them apart and eat the filling out...Gross! He also will eat Asparagus...and Broccoli. He hates anything that comes to fancy...Or he can not make out what it is before you tell him. He wont even try it.

My youngest is the hoover of the house. He will eat just about anything regardless of it being food or not. He is my steak and Potatoes kids. Give him hearty and quick. I do alot of soups with him...because it is food, drink and calories in something I can put in a cup and he can drink. He is my bird though. He will only eat to satisfy that first hunger feeling. He has behavioral issues so we just go with it. Instead of Three big meals with him....we will do littler ones spread out through the day. He could eat Steak with french fries for every meal. But will do Peanut butter sandwiches, Cereal and Orange Popsicle's.

It is no wonder I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out What to feed these children!!

So, now you....

What can I do next?

My daughter will eat pretty much everything. We are lucky in that she will try anything because she knows we won't make her eat it if she doesn't like it. Her favorite snack that she would eat until she was sick if given the opportunity is popcorn. Her fave sweet treat is Talenti strawberry sorbet.

I'm VERY blessed! My boys love so much...there isn't much they don't like. They don't like tomatoes in a salad...however, they do like them sliced with mozarella cheese and basil vinegarette.

artichokes, asparagus, broccoli, spinach...shrimp, lobster...you name it. Nicky LOVES LOVES LOVE Chicken Cordon Bleu...both love summer for artichokes...

brownies, chocolate chips, raisins (yuck in my book!)

but I'm lucky - no picky eaters and no food allergies...there isn't much we don't fix in my house!!

My son (5-1/2) would also eat his weight in sushi, seaweed salad and steamed Chinese dumplings - we have to limit these or he would likely eat until he was sick. He does love all things sweet but eats a normal portion and stops voluntarily, even if there is more left on his plate. We have never eaten or fed 'kid friendly' foods so he has what I consider 'normal' tastes - after all if I had friends who's favorites were chicken nuggets I would think that a bit strange.

My son doesn't eat hardly anything :(

None of them are big on cookies, cakes, brownies... any kind of super sugary junk. They like those thing, but only in moderation. Good kids ;)

Family's fav dinner: cream of mushroom soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. I swear, I could make it every night and no one would complain!

I have only one, a 3.5 yr old boy. He will eat just about anything. LOVES cucumber and red bell pepper ie "crunchies", olives, mandarin oranges (fresh. he's never had canned). He'll eat his tomato on his plate before he reaches for anything else on there. He loves anything that comes off the grill. He once ate two pork chops one night! Cooked inside, he'll eat one hot dog. From the grill, he'll eat two. Sweets? Anything! But he does allow fruit to be considered a dessert, so that's good.

Foods he dislikes? The only thing I can think of is potato. He'll eat french fries, but when it comes to chunks of potato or baked potato or mashed potato, he's just not interested. He even eats eggplant! Eww. Well he also says he doesn't like spicy food, but DOES like the pepper grinder and will eat food that he's ground pepper on. But salsa and jalepeno spicy is off-limits he says.

It's still early for us (9mo), but he HATES banana. If he senses that a banana is near, he is very hesitant to taste what we give him.

HAHA The Hoover of the house. Mine is 13, she would eat anything if she weren't allergic to it.
One of her faves is spinach, which she is allergic to,

All my kids eat anything they deem edible. One of my daughters has had Beaver stew and pulled raccoon bbq. "Oh M. you should try it," she says.

When she was a baby she would suck on the banana peppers that came with pizzas.

And they all mix sodas at fast food restaurants.

My son loves those white cheddar corn puffs you can get at Trader Joe's. Yogurt, and strawberries/blueberries. I think he could eat a whole container of blueberries in one sitting. It doesn't matter if they are frozen or not. His other favorites are peanut butter/strawberry jelly, mac n cheese, and whole wheat pasta ( but only the "spiral" ones).

My son absolutely hates the smell and taste of hamburger meat.

My 8 yo has always had more adult, "sophisticated" tastes and he has never met a food he didn't like.
Right now there are only two foods on his "will not eat list: eggs and cream cheese. Everything else is a go.
And if it's something "new" to him, he just takes a big old forkful and then--the thumbs up is inevitable. No little "tasting" tiny bites.
He orders broccoli cheese soup or chili with jalepeños if we're out.
He eats asparagus, artichokes, shrimp, Frank's Original hot sauce, fish, cauliflower, crab meat--you name it.... He will eat an entire dinner plate of raw carrots, broccoli, celery, mushrooms with ranch dressing.

If I asked him, his favorite food is probably shrimp. Or a Subway Spicy Italian with Pepper Jack cheese and everything on it--every veggie they have.
His favorite snack is probably BBQ potato chips and his favorite candy (right now anyway) is the Hershey Cookies and Cream candy bars. Or Nerds.
