What Is the Best Booster Chair for the Table for a Toddler?

My 2 1/2 year old is ready to join us at the table and we need a booster chair for him. We don't need to have a tray on it. Also, I have wooden chairs, so it can't scratch or stick and remove the finish.
Thanks!

What can I do next?

K.,

You could also look at buying a Youth Chair which is great for longer use and you don't have to worry about it scratching your matching chairs. You could also paint it really cute to make it special for your little boys. This is a link to one I a site that makes them but you could probably find at Neal's Furniture in the Raw or another wood furniture store.

I purchased a booster seat(for the kitchen table) for my 2yo at Walmart for about $10-12. She loves sitting in it and it also has straps where you can attach it to your chair from the bottom for extra safety.

It doesn't have any protective guards, but I'm sure you could buy the small shelf liner(inexpensive) and cut it to size and glue it on the ends to protect your chairs.

I use the Fisher Price one you can get at Target maybe even Walmart. It does have a tray, but it can be removed. It also has a belt so she can be snapped in. It straps to the chair with a belt and velcro so no scratching and it has little rubber pieces on the bottom to prevent scratching.

ok I have bought a gazillion different ones and the one I like the best I can't remember the name of it but I got it at target and it is a green X that goes on the bottom of the legs of your chair. It does not attach or ruin the chair and no assembly just put the legs in the corner squares and it boost the regular chair up to the table height and then you do not have the problem of strapping the booster down and them sliding forward and off the booster like with all booster I tried and he feels like a big boy sitting like the rest of the family and not a baby this will help with the you are a big boy now and get him to do more for himself so you can focus on the little one.

I used the "Safety 1st Easy Care Swing Tray Booster". It was pretty easy to use, and I think it would be okay if you intend to forgo the use of the tray.

We have had a couple of nasty incidents with the tray-while closing it once, my daughter stuck her fingers in the hinge thing. No major injuries, but lots of tears. And another time, she was playing with the tray while it was open and she smashed her little fingers in it again. I threw the tray away after that.

I think they sell a trayless version at walmart for $10-$14. The seat part has been great.
