What Do You Think the Name Will Be?

I just wanted a light and fun question, so I added it myself. I found out Catherine and William had a boy and there are odds as to what the name will be.

Here is a quote to give an idea as to what betting people are thinking: "Betters seem to be favoring the name George, which currently carries 6/1 odds on Paddy Power. There's also Alexander (18/1), James (11/1), Henry (20/1), Arthur and Albert (both 33/1)."

Does anyone here have a guess? Also, I am not sure if this was already on this site, so sorry if this is a duplicate question.

ETA: I'm referring to Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

ETA: I quoted the article. I would have written people who bet or gamble instead of 'Betters' to avoid confusion. I am assuming this is what is meant.

ETA: So one of my favorite names is Alexander. For some reason I am hoping this is picked, but I am think George Edward something. I also do not know if there is some tradition.

What can I do next?

it's actually 'bettors', oddly enough.
i'm betting spencer gets in there somewhere too. i doubt it will be 'henry' as harry may want that for his kids. george is a pretty common windsor name. i'm gonna go with 'george spencer.'

All I know is:
I hope the child is not named after a fruit, or a car or a North/South/East/West directional name.
Like, how some celebrities name their kids.

But I doubt the new Prince will be named with a terrible name!

I HOPE that Spencer is chosen as a middle name! How appropriate. I'm still so saddened when I see Princess Diana with her children. She would have only been 51 years old and a grandmother. She would have rocked it.

Michael William Philip Spencer is my favorite.

Hope they don't put "Charles" anywhere in his name. And a reminder for the American media, she is *NOT* Kate Middleton anymore! She's Catherine Duchess of Cambridge. Meh.

I like Henry more than the other names, but George is a strong English name.

I'm guessing there will be either a Harold, Charles or Spenser (for his late mother's family) as a middle name somewhere in there.

Fun question. Too bad we couldn't do a Mamapedia pool on the topic!

I like your question!
I like Henry Spencer Albert Windsor...but I don't think another King Henry is a favored thing. King Henry VIII was kind of a douche bag.

What ever it is, it'll most likely be long with 2 or 3 middle names.

Immediate male family full names (not including titles) are:
William Arthur Philip Louis Mountbatten-Windsor (Dad)
Henry Charles Albert David Mountbatten-Windsor (Uncle)
James William Middleton (Uncle)
Charles Philip Arthur George Mountbatten-Windsor (paternal Granddad)
Michael Francis Middleton (maternal Granddad)
(Mom's full married name (without titles) is Catherine Elizabeth Mountbatten-Windsor.)

They could go with any combination of names or mix in something new.
I'm fairly certain they won't go with Prince Moon Unit or anything trendy.

Additional:
I highly doubt Spencer will be in the running - grandmother's maiden name got dropped when she married.
Diana's full married name (w/o titles): Diana Frances Mountbatten-Windsor

Additional:
The choice has been made:

George Alexander Louis Mountbatten-Windsor

My 11 daughter thinks they will go with Henry because "it's a common king name in England".

I don't think they will use Alexander. I'd heard if it were a girl, they were most likely going to call her Alexandra. Maybe they will save that name in case they have a girl in the future.

Meh, so far as the name, who knows. The number of names they have to pull from are endless.
