I know this is only my first round of Clomid day 3 to day 7. We followed all of doc's instructions, ovulation also happened on 7th of May...my progesterone was also quite high on Day 22. My periods should have started today but I have only spotting.Pregnancy tests negative.....I'm sooo disappointed. What could have gone wrong? Any suggestions ?

What can I do next?

I'm not trying to be harsh or mean when I say this but if you're going to continue down the fertility road, you need to be extremely patient and have an open-mind. You may go through one more round of Clomid or you may go through several more years before conceiving. As someone who has ridden that roller coaster, I know it is hard not to be disappointed but the reality is that you may have a lot of failures before you have success.

Maybe nothing went wrong. Since your body isn't doing what it needs to do naturally, your doctor is trying to regulate your hormones through medicines. This isn't an exact science and it could take some trial and error before the right combination is found.

Be patient and positive. We went through three years and a miscarriage before we conceived our first and have gone on to have another child as well. Understand there may be setbacks along the way but try not to get too wrapped up in them. Mourn a cycle that didn't work and then move on with high hopes and positive feelings on your next try.

Best wishes to you!

I too understand the whole infertility thing. We went through 2 yrs of it and finally got preggers with IVF. Obviously you want a baby, but if you are just starting this, you've got to relax and give it time. The more you stress the worse it will be. We never knew why I couldn't get pregnant, husband was fine and all the testing they did on me was normal as well. Unfortunately you can't always put a reason as to why it doesn't happen. Goodluck

My heart goes out to you. I did fertility treatments for my first 3 kids. Clomid was always one of the treatments for me. I HATE clomid. It makes me crazy. But, with our 2nd son, the dr. was pleased that we conceived him on only the 2nd time of ovulating. Even if your meds are right and everything is good and you are ovulating, does not mean you will get pregnant. And as hard as it is, relaxing about it really is going to work best for you. I know how hard it is to see that negative preg. test. Good luck and hang in there.
