I know we're all feeling the crunch lately . . . . Well, if you're not, then lucky you.
I have never been much of a coupon-cutter, but I want to learn more about it. You're all a bunch of savvy women. Tell me: what are your favorite coupon techniques, websites, & other money saving tips?

Just ASK and you shall receive.:)

I saved $600 by just making a few phone calls. I called my cell phone company, my land-line phone company and Direct TV.
I just told them that I needed their help to find out how to lower my monthly payments and they all agreed. On average I saved $20 per month off each with a total savings of over $600 a year. (the only company that wouldn't help was Comcast)

On retail items, If an item is missing a button or has a scratch or small flaw, ask to speak to the manager to see if the store will reduce the price. You'd be surprised how many times they'll say "yes".

Also check out the web site -- retailmenot.com They have coupons for tons of stores.

My sister is that lady...lol. She uses pinchingyourpennies.com and gets 4 Sunday Papers. It tells you when things are on sale as well as when the coupons match up. It's a system...and free (other than the cost of the papers that is but that is minimal compared to what she saves) it took a couple of months to get it going to where she is just buying things when she has the coupons but that is all starting to show up now...and she clips some for me when she knows it is an item I need like cat food...4 coupons and where the sale is. I need to get on it and follow up on this one myself...it's amazing watching how it is working for her I have to admit I was a sever skeptic but it is really cutting down their grocery/household supplies budget. I'm starting to believe...

www.thegrocerygame.com It helps you know when to use your coupons. You can get free things between sales and coupons, and sometimes even get paid for "buying" the item. It saves gas, too, because you already know what you're going to buy where rather than having to go back to some place. Also, remember, Wal-Mart will honor a competitors price on an identical item.

Try couponmom.com. And the grocery game, which was mentioned before is great. I also like Mary Hunt's website, debtproofliving.com. She has a daily column that you can sign up to receive by email on her site, that has lots of money saving tips.

Good Luck!

There was a whole episode of Oprah yesteday about saving money. They showed a lady who went into a grocery store and bought 125$ worth of groceries for 35$! It was amazing. She suggested asking your store to double coupons, and then always getting what was on sale, especially if you had a coupon for the same item...doing that, she ended up getting several items for free. She also said that you should buy several copies of the Sunday paper each week to get multiple coupons.
Here are a couple coupon sites:

Hi. You know I have never been a fan with coupon cutting. Infact I would like to know where and how you are getting yours, but I have other ways that I can help others free up money every month atleast $500 or more a month. In fact if you know anyone that is affected with the economy let me know I can help. -Y.
