I have a dear friend who desperately wants to be a SAHM but cannot afford to do so right now. She would even be willing to work part-time as long as it paid decently and gave her more time with her kiddos.
So I am asking you mommas: what are some LEGIT SAHM earning possibilities or ideas for part-time employment?

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION UPDATE: She has experience with young children mostly. Is very creative and excels in writing. Has excellent people skills as well.
I actually clean for another mom I met on this board. Not very often but the extra money is nice to contribute to my son's savings account. :)
Medical transcription, coding or billing are all options. There are on-line training courses I recently saw advertised or she could contact a local hospital's HIS department.
My husband also did some transcription work for a doctor's office he worked at when he was doing rehab and it was time consuming in the evenings and nights, but we really benefited from the extra $$ and it was relatively easy:)
I work full time but have started also working part time from home. I am partnered with Work At Home United. You should include what she is interested in, her strengths and her current field. There are many opportunites to work from home but many are professionally oriented that not just anyone can do. I know of people across all industries that work part time from home-I was in advertising and did this to more success as a freelancer than when I worked in an agency. The whole concept of working from home has evolved so much from the data entry or stuffing envelopes concept-you just have to know how to approach it.
I was in the same boat as your friend. I was fortunate enough to find a job where I could work from home. Its great & my schedule is flexible. I don't do it but does she have any experience with Medical Billing? There are doctors who are looking for a way to save on billing. She would keep a percentage of monies collected & be her own boss.
Has she considered watching other kids? It will tie her down considerably but she can still be with her kids & get paid for it. Just a thought.....Good luck to her!
I enjoy baking so I bake sweets of all sorts from scratch and then sell them to friends, family, school workers, school friends, and etc. It doesn't seem like a lot but when you add it all up it is very beneficial. My husband was actually surprised on how fast it took off and the repeat customers. If you want to get started let me know and I will also give you some of my recipes.
The best thing I have found is an internet franchise. You make your own schedule and the income potential is amazing. I love it.
