O>K> has anyone used this and how is it? I do believe that shampooing everday is not good for your hair, I do mine about every 3 days now and just condition on the other days and my hair definetly looks better how about you? I was thinking of trying this produrct but wanted to hear from others first. Thanks

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

When I say wash my hair I mean with shampoo, the other days I just rinse it with water and lightly condition my hair, depending on how my hair is behaving I might not rinse it or blow dry it for 3 days, if I wet my hair I always blow dry it, I have to. I don't think I am going to try this product from what I've heard hear, I might look for some more natural products. Thanks S.

That's the stuff advertised on infomercials, right? I checked out the ingredients, and for the most part, it sounds good, but it contains butylene glycol as a preservative.

Dangers of Butylene Glycol: Symptoms of depression, vomiting, drowsiness, coma and respiratory failure have been linked to butylene glycol. The U.S. has placed restrictions on how much of this chemical can be used in skincare products and cosmetics, however many companies use just enough of this chemical to be sold legally. Also, no research has been done on the long term effects of these chemicals.

It also lists "fragrance" as an ingredient. Since fragrances are proprietary blends, companies do NOT have to list the ingredients that make up that so called fragrance. Therefore, they tend to hide bad ingredients behind that word. Like phthalates that mimic hormones and bring on early puberty in kids (for one thing).

After my daughter was diagnosed with ADHD, which can be triggered by certain chemicals, I switched to all organic cleaning and personal care products. (www.ecocoolstuff.com)

After reading the WEN ingredients, I personally would avoid it. It's the harsh chemical ingredients that ruin your hair, not to mention that they get absorbed into your bloodstream and can cause internal damage as well!

Sorry, this probably wasn't what you were looking for, but as you can see, I'm very passionate about this! lol

I bought these products last year and ended up returning them and getting my money back. I loved the smell of them but did not feel like it cleaned my hair to my satisfaction. It still felt dirty and greasy after I washed it. When I called to get a refund the lady said to make sure I get it all washed out. But really, I have two kids and do not have time to take a 20 minute shower just to make sure I get all my shampoo out of my hair! I'm like you, I only shampoo my hair 2-3 times a week. The best shampoo I've found that is good for my color treated, dry ends hair is Joico Kpak. I get it from Ulta beauty and they occasionally have a special on it. I don't feel like the stuff you can buy from Walmart and such cleans my hair well enough, but that's just my personal preference. Hope this helps!

I have not used the product you mention, but like you, I wash my hair only about 2 or 3 times per week. I think that daily washing strips the scalp of natural oils, so that it needs to make more to keep your scalp healthy. After some time you hair WILL be greasy every day since you just trained your scalp to make more oil. My dermatologist said simply rinsing daily (and conditioning ) is fine, but washing hair daily is not a good idea. Hair care products are water soluble, so even gel and hairspray will rinse out with water. I buy Dove and Pantene products. I have bought products from the natural market that worked great (and smelled great), but since it is an extra stop I often just buy the Dove.

My friend had bought the products and gave me a bottle of the clarifying conditioner and I love it. I have curly, frizzy hair and it has made a huge difference. I have used Curly girl products, but did not like the build up it left on my scalp. I do not notice that with this product. Also, the product has gone pretty far. I usually use quite a bit of product since I have long hair. I would definetly try it.

I have never used it. I think it is probably a waste of money, though. I am a licensed cosmetologist.... and I think the way you are doing your hair now is more healthy than washing everyday. However, are you blow drying everyday or air drying? You are still hurting your hair if you use heat everyday. Dries hair out, breaks hair, etc etc.
I more suggest washing every two days. There are some non-water shampoos that you can spray in your hair, instead of having to use heat everyday. These spray shampoos are perfectly safe for hair. One to try is Pssst Instant Spray Shampoo. Just spray it in dry hair for that freshly washed look. I actually have not been able to find this in stores around my home, but I buy it from drugstore.com or cvs.com.

i wash my hair every other day usually or sometimes i will go 3 days, but my hair tends to get very oily on the days that i dont wash it. it looks wieghed down and greasy near the scalp. my husband saw the informercial and bought the wen products. i used them for about 2 weeks or so, but i really didn't like them or think it was worth the money. the shampoo has a very minty smell and feel to it and makes ur scalp tingle...there is really no lather it feels more like you are putting a very light conditioner in it. it feels good on the scalp, but it really left my hair very oily and almost like i hadn't washed it at all, and it was kinda tagly after. my hair was very long at the time so i had to use alot....just for regular length hair i think you had to pump it like 12 times. anyway, i wouldn't recommend it or buy it again. actually i still have some left and its collecting dust in my shower....lol but maybe if you dont have a problem with oily hair in the first place it might be ok.

I just tryed it last month and ended up returning it. I don't have a problem with my hair getting oily but did when I used WEN. My daughter even tryed it and had the same problem. It smelled great but did not work like they have stated. I would not recommend you getting it, I think it was a waist of money. I am just glad I was able to return it. I think just washing everyother day or every couple days is fine.

I bought the 'collection' of four of the five types last year and I still have every one of them. I HATED it!!! I took too much time and couldn't return them, so I think I have the most expensive shaving cream ever, 'cause that is all it's good for!
