Wee Ride Bike Seat

Does anyone out there use the weeride bike seat that lets your baby sit in front of you instead of behind you? What do you think? I was thinking of getting one for my 1 year old so the whole family could ride this summer. I have the trailer but it takes up too much room, comes unlatched and gets my daughter hot!

What can I do next?

I have one that I used when my daughter was small, she loved it. She could see where we were going and was very happy riding. It also fastens to the bike so you don't have to attach it everytime you go for a ride.

We use the trailer now that my daughter is bigger and she loves that too. Good Luck!

Dear T., I am not a bike riderbut I am at my sisters' in Minn, and her and her husband ride bikes(last summer they biked in New Zeland). She said she has seen those carriers and as long as the baby has a helmet she guesses they would be OK.. She says she would be more confortable with the trailer. She also said for you to be sure and wear a helmet!!! Her pet peeve is when she sees babies with helmets and the parents aren't wearing them. Like she said "Who is going to raise the baby when the parent is in a nursing home with a head injury because they were in an accident and the parent was not wearing a helmet. S. A.

Hey T. - I have the Wee Ride and we all love it. There is one caveat however - the strap... My son (18 m/o)weighs 27 lbs and is roughly 30" tall - the "T" strap at the bottom is already getting a bit tight. I wouldn't say not to buy it - but just something to be aware of.

Side note: I live in the Waterview area - you are more than welcome to come by and try it out before you buy one, just send me a message. We are new to the area, moved here 6/12. My husband is a pilot in the Navy - on terminal leave now... good luck.

Hi,
We recently purchased a bike carrrier for our 23 month old, and after researching I was down to the weeride and the Ibert Safe-T-Seat. We decided to go with the IBert due to lots of other reviews for the weeride complained of their knees hitting the bottom and they had to splay their legs to ride. We love the Ibert, there are great reviews and pictures on amazon.com
Good Luck

My husband & I researched alot on the bike seats and finally went with the IBert bike seat. We decided on this one because it has extended leg protectors to keep the baby's legs from "flopping" around & hitting the bike bar. We purchased it from ebay for around $50, but they have a web site Ibertinc.com. We could not find it in Jackson. It is rec. for up to 42" & under 4yo. Our daughter has loved it! Happy Riding! J. E.

We bought the Weeride when my 1st son was 7 or 8 months old, and now getting ready for my 2nd to start using it. We love it! We like being able to have them sit in front us where we can see them and they definitely enjoy seeing where they are going instead of staring at our back. I would absolutely recommend it.
