Waterparks with Slides That Allow Kids Who Are 42" Tall

Hi everyone,
I am looking for a waterpark that would allow my children who are five to go on at least some of the water slides. They are 42" and 44" tall. I checked out a new waterpark on-line (in Elk Grove Village)that's supposed to be fun, but it said you must be 48" or taller. Well... my kids had such a blast in the Dells last summer on the water slides. My husband and I each took a child and went down with them. And on one slide, the four of us sat in a circular tube and went down together. They loved it!

The places that I know around here say you must be taller than what they are and go down solo. I am not looking for anything HUGE, but they would like to go down a winding slide. (Not just a 5 ft. slide at the park district pool.) It seems they are tired of just the water sprayers at some parks. We have a great park district with 6 pools in our town, but sometimes they and I would like slides instead of pools.

I would be willing to drive 45 minutes from my home. I live in Arlington Heights. I am willing to pay up to $15 per person. I have tried a new hotel near me, but didn't seek height info. anyway after I found the fee to be very pricey (for me at least).

Thank you so much for your time and any water slides/parks information.
J.

Hi, I also live in Arlington Heights and recently went to Coco Key with my family. It is great!! There regular pricing is high, but if you look at their website you will find they have special pricing for weekdays. There are seperate areas for different ages. My 7 y.o. niece who is very petite was able to go on lots of the slides and had a blast. Good luck and have fun!

J.,
There is a fun water slide park in Mundelein. It has lots to offer and you can check all of it out on line. Go to www.mundeleinparks.org and look under Barefoot Bay. I believe you have to be 42" to go on the slides. It's at 1461 N. Midlothian Road in Mundelein. Have fun!

There is a water park in Wheeling at the park district on Dundee Road. Also, have you check out Six Flags Great America and their water park? I am not sure of the height restriction but I know they have a kids area.
