Water Wraps/slings

I was wondering if anyone had a good website for inexpensive water slings/wraps (would prefer a 5-6 meter wrap as opposed to a sling, but would do either) for about $40ish (i found one, but they were $56 and bet there is something less expensive out there).

Also, did you get too hot/sweaty in yours? We are going to Texas (almost 100 degree weather with humidity) and will spend lots of time in pools and water parks. I am a very hot person normally, but was going to just wear my Moby Wrap into the water, but I am afraid of 1) ruining my wrap and 2) being too hot and 3) it taking a LOOONNNNNG time to dry!

Any suggestions?!?

UPDATE:
I am looking for either a mesh or a lightweight wrap (in a Moby wrap style or close to since I already know how to put those on and my kiddo fits nicely in them) to wear my baby (9 mos) over my swisuit so I can have my hands free/mostly free to control or hold my 2 year old while we are in the swimming pool or at the water park when we go on vacation. I plan on this wrap getting very wet, so I need something lightweight even when soaked that is reliable/supportive for the baby, will dry quickly, etc. I just don't want to spend a ton of money on it! :-). Hope this clarifies a bit!

I made two wraps out of a slick, jersey material--the kind used in basketball jerseys that has little holes in it. I tied one "sling" at the shoulder, and also bought several yards to tie on like a baby bundler. Neither type required any sewing at all. They were cool, and dried immediately using that type of fabric. I found my fabric on sale for $1 a yard. Big score!

I personally don't know, but check out thebabywearer.org. It's a forum much like this one where you can ask questions specifically about baby wearing, and they also have a TON of links to various sellers (as well as ratings of those sellers). I was able to find a light-weight linen ringsling for under $30 through this site! You do have to sign up (like with this forum) and provide an email address and username, but they don't spam you or sell your info. I would think that would be the best resource! Good luck!

If I understand correctly, are you asking about a bathing suit wrap? or sarong? Maybe clarify a bit more for us so we can get you a better answer.

Check out hotslings.com I have one that isn't the water sling, but cloth and I loved it! I know they sell water slings too and they weren't that pricey if I remember correctly. Their customer service was excellent also. Best of luck!

By the way, I also have a Moby wrap and can't imagine wearing that one in the water, lol...It is so long--it would probably weigh a hundred pounds wet and take forever to dry! Maybe even check out craigslist and see if you can get a discounted sling =)
