Just wondering what some good water play areas are for toddlers - it is too hot for the regular park! I had heard there is a splash zone in oldsmar - but isn't there also a water play area at the beach?

What can I do next?

Hi N.,
There is a splash zone in oldsmar,
Morningside Recreation, Ross Norton, North Greenwood Recreation, & Clearwater Beach Family Aquatic Center in Clearwater all have play areas for toddlers with little toddler slides gradual entry into pool and splash zones.

Largo has a great one too - Highland Aquatic Center- This one is great for older kids as well- ( more water slides) but also a little more expensive. :)
The Florida Aquarium has a splash area as well.

And I thought I was tired. There are two I go to. The one at Lowry Park in the Austraila area, it's not too big and it's fun. The other is at the Aquarium. The outdoor area is fun but if you aren't careful a kid can get away from you pretty quick. I took my kids to the Oldsmar park and it was alright...it isn't very big. I don't really know of any places at the beach but that would be nice if there was. Anyway good luck and if you need someone to talk to my name is C. and my email is ____@____.com. I work part time from home in the early am and stay at home with my kids during the day-I live in Tampa - S. of Gandy near Port Tampa. I have 2 boys ages 4 & 2 and a baby girl born in May this year.

There is a WONDERFUL place in Largo.. Its called Highland aquatics or something.. It's great!! I have been taking my son there for 2 summers now, and we love it! It's off HIghland right across from the police station. They have water slides, for all ages, they have very shallow pool areas, and deeper areas. And they have a park right next to the pool, they sell drinks and snacks, it's a lot of fun. And on another note.. What in the world are you going to do with all those babies!!!! WOW. I can't imagine!! Have fun, Good Luck, and GOD BLESS LOL!!

It's not big but one of my favorites is a water fountain play area at Kate Jackson park in Hyde Park in Tampa. My 19 month old loves to play there and it has a great playground there too.

Go to the Highland Rec Center, its a water park, they have all sorts of cool slides and pools and stuff and its really cheap to join. Its in Largo on Highland. I got the brochure from the Largo Library on Central Park Drive.
