Washing a Corelle Doll

I don't know about Corelle, but my mom put my Cabbage Patch Kid in the washer when I was a kid and she turned out very good. I don't know why you would wrap it in a pillow case though... don't you want the soap and water to get to it to get the smell out??

Obviously, if it is a doll with any electronics you can not wash it in the washer....

I'd give the company a call. I know the American Girl line allows you to send the doll to the "spa" to get cleaned or hair fixed.

You didn't specify specifically if the doll had any hair, but if it did, I'd tie it up real good before putting it through the wash. I honestly don't think anything will happen to the doll if you did wash it on the hand wash cycle. I say risk it, it's better than having a doll smell like pee and harbor germs like that:) As far as the dryer is concerned, I'd only put the doll on air dry, no heat, you don't want to risk having a doll smell like burn plastic, especially if it has plasticy strands of hair that will singe up.

My mom owned a toy store when I was growing up and actually had the designer and chairwoman of Corolle Dolls (Madame Catherine Refabert) come to her store. She described the best way to clean the dolls so that we could tell customers. Yes, the dolls are absolutely machine washable. Just put a pillow case over the head to protect the hair (if it has hair) and put it in the gentle cycle with Woolite. I had many, many Corolles and they all turned out fine after many washes in the machine -- except for one that my little brother attacked with Sharpie!

I have washed all manner of stuffed kids toys and dolls because of all sorts of kid accidents.
I put them in a zippered lingerie bag if it fits or I use a pillow case. The reason for putting it in one is to keep it from getting banged up in the machine. It gets all the soap and water it needs to wash it.
When I take anything out with fur I fluff it all back up with my hands before hanging it by something to dry. An ear, hang tag, fingers..whatever I can pinch with the clip on the hanger.
I use a regular cycle with the extra heavy spin cycle to get out as much water as humanly possible.
I don't know anything about that brand but I've washed just about every kind of plush toy to be had from Build A Bear bears to dolls just like you describe with the cloth body and plastic extremities.
Nothing has been ruined.
