I had a pillow that has these tiny bead-size stuffing. I washed it after a trip (not the first time I did so) and it ripped open. I have an apartment washer. I've tried to get this little puffy beads. They are soft and tiny. I can't get them out of my washer. I've tried to run a couple of empty loads & they just end up all over the side of the washer. My husband has tried to vacuum them up. We've also tried scooping them up with water in it. Any other ideas.....THANKS!

What can I do next?

I hate those little things! Maybe you could try using duct tape and see if you can't get the little buggers to stick to the tape. Good luck!

Leave it open so they can dry and then take some packing tape and wrap it around your hand sticky side up and see if they will stick to that. Not sure if it will work, but it's worth a try.

Try to let it dry out and use a swiffer dry cloth on them or a swiffer duster. Those things pick up everything. Good Luck

Have you tried really sticky tape? They also have rollers at pet stores with tape on them (similar the kind you use to pick up lint from clothing) that are meant to get cat hair off of furniture. The tape is really sticky so it might pick up the beads better than a regular roller.

Good luck!

Hi
Doesn't stuff like this just drive you crazy? Why don't you try wrapping tape around a big spoon or spatula with the sticky side out and pick them up that way. You could also try one of those static cling cloths or a static spray on a cloth because the reason they get away is because of the static electricity in the air. Good Luck

PS Don't spray anything directly into your dryer because that could cause a fire!!!!

I often use a dryer sheet in situations like this.

A lint brush or some tape might work to pick them up

I agree that these have probably ended up inside the basin. You may need your husband to take the washer apart and do a thorough cleaning. What a pain! Good luck :)

I am not sure, but maybe try using some tape to pick the beads up. It might work.

what about long pieces of tape to grab them off the sides?

Dear M K,
My first thought was to use packing tape or duct tape. Wrap it loosely around your 4 fingers, sticky side out. This also works perfectly for getting lint off of clothing in a pinch if you don't have a lint brush. If it's loose enough, the tape should kind of spiral around your fingers and pick things up along the way. You might need to run a couple more empty loads or at least let the tub fill up and then spin it out. I bet those little things have gotten inside the actual wash basin.

I hope it helps!
