Warts!

My 3 1/2 year old has warts! The other day we were playing and I felt two little bumps on the bottom of his foot. I'm thinking they are probably plantar's warts...does anyone know of any good OTC treatment for this or do you think I should put in a call to his doctor? (It seems like we've seen the doctor a million times in the past few months, so I'm trying to avoid it if possible). Thanks for any advice!

Michele,
I have used Young Livings Lemon oil successfully to remove several patients warts. An Application of several days in a row eliminates them because it works on the virus.
Hope that helps.

Can you tell me how you solved this? We are having the same problem. I am also thinking of going to the doctor after trying everything at Walgreens.

Hi M.,
my son has a wart on his finger. We use freeze off and also use duct tape. My doc said to leave the duck tape on for a day or so and then when you take it off it peels some layers away.
Hope this helps

I had warts on my hands as a child. My mother got some OTC wart remover and they completely cleared up. Check the drug store. It can't hurt to try something bafore calling the Dr.

There is some medicine you can get over the counter, but if it's on the bottom of his foot, the best thing to do is call your dr. Good luck!!

If they are planters warts (they have little black marks inside) then I would take him to a dermatologist to have them removed. The black marks are "seeds" and these will plant themselves on the skin and create more warts.

Hey M.,

My daughter has had warts on her hands. Any of the over the counter wart medicines (compooound W or freeze off) work well. They are very expensive but will save you from going to the doctors. Remember that warts can come back.

When I was a kid I had warts on my hands and my Mom took me to the DR. I actually had to have them scraped down and then frozen. It was extremely painful and I had to have many sessions of this.
I know now they have home kits. There is also bandaid type disks you can buy at any Pharmacy type store. Good Luck.
