If you are taking care of the kids you are helping! Daycare for two or three kids is ridiculously expensive : (

Tammi mentioned focusing on what you are good at and that is good advice. If you are good with kids you could provide daycare for a friend or neighbor's child. I am good with computers so I picked up some books and started learning website development & graphic design.

Not sure if you have found anything that has worked for you, but Work at Home United provides you an opportunity to earn supplemental or replacement income (and it is residual as well!!) while working from home....NO selling, NO stocking, NO shipping, and NO parties. No cold calls and there is no financial investment like most other work from home opportunities and is 100% risk free! This is NOT like Mary Kay or Avon and IS NOT MLM!!! We are a Consumer Direct Marketing company where we set up accounts for customers and the company pays up do so. I work for a company that has been around since 1985, won numerous awards, is very prosperous and growing daily and it is BACKED by the BBB!! You will receive a FREE website and FREE training!
Visit www.WorkAtHomeUnited.com/H. to request information if you would like to learn more or give me a call at ###-###-#### to schedule an overview call so you can get all the info up front to decide if this will be a good fit for you.

Working from home is not as easy as you think if you are considering doing it while kids are actually in the house with you. I work from home, but my kids are all in school when I'm working. You have to watch for scams, like you said. Any company that wants you to put any money up front is either a complete scam (they will take your money and run) or a legitimate company that doesn't tell you the statistics of how few people actually make any money with their business (like Tupperware, Pampered Chef, etc) You have to think outside the box to find a work at home job. For example my background is in teaching and I was able to get a job as a part time virtual teacher. My suggestion is to figure out what kind of job you would have if you worked outside the home, then figure out a way to do it from home, if possible. And whether you work in or out of the home, seriously consider putting your kids in some sort of day care environment while you work, which means you have to make enough money to make a profit after you have paid for child care.

Ditto Tammi's advice. I have worked from home as a freelance writer for nine years now and love it. However, it's not easy. For many positions, you will need daycare to get the devoted work time you need. Watching children and working simultaneously isn't going to work with most professional positions. The lower-paying jobs, such as party sales, may offer the flexibility of avoiding daycare, but you won't make a real income.

Please feel free to either call me or e-mail me. Sunday night there is a bussiness call at 7pm Mountain Time, The call is simply for people that are interested in hearing about Nussentials.
