I am the mother of three beautiful girls ages 11, 5, and 3. My oldest is actually living with her Dad this year to try things out so most of the time I just have my two younger kiddos. My problem is that my five year old is very intelligent and doesn't relate to other kids all that well. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in starting a playgroup so that our kids could play together and perhaps we as mothers could enjoy some time with other adults--it'll be mutually beneficial!
It would be nice to meet once a week at a park, or even my home so that the kids could play. Our pediatrician has advised us that this would be the best way to help her learn some more social skills because she really does love to be with other children, she just becomes overwhelmed when there are suddenly 30 of them as there would be in the classroom environment. She'll be starting public school next year so I want to get a head start so that she will really enjoy the educational process.
Anyone else interested?
When would be a good time for everyone to meet? It looks like initially a Saturday or Sunday afternoon may work best for everyone based on work schedules and such. Is there a favorite park of any of the kids?

My 2 1/2 and 1 month old girls would love to play with your family, if you think they would get along. A lot of my friends have kids that are older (4 or so) and my toddler plays very well with them - she is such a good natured child and is also gifted, I believe.

I am interested, but my son is only 2 1/2 and I work fulltime so I am only available on the weekends. I live in the Bear Creek area. If you think your 3 year old could play w/my 2 year old then please reply. The park sounds like a great idea.

I to have three kids, Kohl (turning 6), Patrick 2 (but looks 4), and Isabella (1). I can relate to your middle child being advanced for her age. My son Kohl is extremely smart for his age as well and gets bored easly at school. His teacher has emailed us a cuple of time to inform us. We simply encorged him to do out of school activities such as t-ball, and simply playing more outside to balance the two.
