Hi Mom's I could use some help-
Can anyone tell me if they have stayed at any of the value resorts at Disney World in Florida? Can you tell me if they are nice, clean, safe.... I've stayed in the moderate ones, but I'm trying to save some money on this trip.

Thanks

2 years ago we stayed @ the All Star Sports and it was a great place. Clean rooms, service every day.. Big Cafeteria that stays open late. Shuttle service to park.
Awesome.

I stayed at the Sports one years ago; the rooms were clean and the pools were nice. I didn't go with kids though, but for sleeping and swimming, they were fine. Plus, if you stay on property, I was told you can go to any of the pools in any of the resorts! Just take the shuttle. My girlfriend took her two kids last year & said it was easier to rent a stroller once inside the park, rather than drag yours on & off the buses or the monorail. She said they get so crowded & people weren't very considerate.

Have a great time!!

We just got back a week ago and I have a 4yr old Boy and almost 2 yr old boy and we stayed at the All Star Movie. It was nice, clean, food there was OK. Pools were really nice. But the little time we spent in the room we were totally cramped, I wish we did have a little bigger room. Cuz when u add the stroller and bags there was no room. I heard from other people and seeing the responses that the Pop Century one is better. But remember u are only in the room a limited time for naps etc so it was fine, just thought it should be a little bit bigger.

We stayed at All Star Movie when our kids were 2 and All Star Music when they were 3 and they were both GREAT! My kids absolutely loved them, I think they had more fun at the hotel than at Disney World. Have fun!!

We love the All-Star Resorts. Inexpensive, clean, friendly... we have stayed at all of them They are all the same, just different themes... since you have boys.. try the All-Star Sports. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when at Disney... why? You are only there to sleep!!
Oh, I never had any trouble with any of the buses or transportation, but I can see how someone could with all of the people there. End of the night is crowded, we would just leave a few minutes and that seemed to help.
(We have been there at least 8 times, plus to the ones in Tokyo and Paris (twice)).

Have Fun!!

Pop Century is clean and fun. Our nieces and nephews loved the different things thoughout the resort and the pools. Like the other said, you are not in your room that much. We just came back from 6 days at the Caribbean Beach and the bus service there was not too good, 1/2 hour waits. We had rented a car and just drove the car to the parks each day. They give you a pass for your car window and you donot have pay to park at the parks and that saves $12.00 a day!

We stayed at the Pop Century Resort last January and it was all you listed above, nice, clean, safe. There was a pool and nice little kiddie pool with fountains, which I think my kids who were 3 & 4 at the time actually enjoyed the most out of the whole trip, LOL. The only complaint I have is the bus shuttle service that you have to take everywhere. I think they are supposed to come every 20 minutes or something, but you can be waiting for a while, sometimes 2 rounds if the line to get on the bus is long. It sucks up a lot of time, the next time I go I think I'd rather stay at a resort that is hooked up to the monorail, however that means more $$, so we'll see!

we stayed at AllStar Music family Suite last spring. It served the purpose, clean, & I would do it again if we don't stay as long.
We are a family of 5, & ten days was a little long for that size room. LOL
as far as the resort, yes, I recommend it!

I've stayed at the Pop Century. It was fine. I've also stayed at Carribean Beach, the Polynesian and off site at Wyndham Garden, Caribe Royale (least favorite) and what is now the Nickolodeon Family suites. You know when you go to Disney you aren't at the room much so as long as it is clean and safe it really doesn't matter. If you have a big group consider some of the off site suites too.

Reading the other responses, I just want to add that yes bus service can be a pain, but I've been there with the monorail continually breaking down. So, that is Disney transportation - so know that or stay offsite, rent a car and pay for parking...
