Okay, I know watch what I eat and exercise, but is there anything honestly, good for me or not to lose a few fast??? Any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated!!

Goodness, I've done lots of wacky things over the years to lose weight. I've had issues with extra weight my whole life. I'm embarassed to admit, I'm doing the Dr. Gupta thing... you know, the guy that advertises on the radio? It's working well for me - I'm down about 25 lbs so far, with 15 more to go. I started with weight watchers and it was great for about a month, but then I got sick of trying to remember how many points each item was worth, and I don't like artificial sweeteners, so a lot of the 'diet' or 'low-calorie' foods they suggest were out for me. So I took the lazy-girl's way out and get prescription diet pills. They do monitor you very closely though, so it's not reckless at least. Look up the Nutrition Clinic in Naperville. Best of luck.

I also have done Shaklee's Cinch plan. On most diets, you tend to burn muscle instead of fat. When you cut calories, your body goes into fasting mode and starts storing fat and using energy from muscle.
The Cinch plan is formulated with an amino acid called Leucine that helps build muscle while you cut calories and lose inches. People in the clinical trial had 100% retention of muscle mass.

It is not really wacky, but just eat fresh fruit and vegetables (with no added butter or salt) for 1-2 days. Along with that make protein shakes with water (use milk, soy milk, or lo carb milk if you have to) for each meal or as a snack as needed. Eat the fruits and veggies if you need to actually chew something or you are really hungry. You could lose 2-5 pounds in 2 days. It will come back though when you add salt and carbs, but you will feel good for those 2 days.

When I started the south beach diet, the first two weeks you don't eat any bread, potatoes, or fruit or grains. just protein and green vegetables! It is a bit difficult, but it is supposed to help with cravings etc. If you do a bit of exercise and try this, you can lose between 4 to 9 lbs in 2 weeks! my cravings came back last week(since I was eating breads etc) I am going to go back to the phase I of the plan and cut those things out and see what happens!

Craziest thing I did?--stopped eating meat, dairy, eggs, high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, pop and beer. I lost 25 pounds in 2 months and have kept it off for almost 9 months eating this way. It's a lot of hard work, and a big inconvenience to eat this way, but I can eat as much as I want and never feel hungry. Good luck!

I have a few ideas for you. If you have a good size backyard I would suggest getting a trapoline. Wow I thought I was going to die after about 2 minutes jumping on that thing. I was out of breath and my heart was pounding, it was great. You could also get an inside one. I like jumping on the little one during the winter and big one in the summer. Next I would suggest Body Trim. It is all natural, and good for you. You put in in water and drink it. It tastes great and I went down 2 clothes sizes in a month in a half to 2 months. I hear that 3-2-1 Baby Bulge Be Gone works great. Also if you cut 500 calories from your daily diet, you'll lose 1 lb per week. Obviously there are liquid diets and such that will drop lbs fast, but the weight will just come back and it's so bad for your body. If you want to try a very short juice fast, these can be a nice detox for you and can jumpstart weight loss. Good luck- I'm trying to lose some, too!

It's very simple and very cheap.

Fast.

That means stop eating and only drink water.

You'll lose 5 pounds within a few days.

I did it on-and-off for about a year, lost 80 lbs. and got down to a normal weight. That was about 20 years ago. I've kept it off.

In the meantime, I've learned a lot about food, flavor and being healthy. Eat mostly plants. Cook from scratch. Avoid processed foods containing corn, flour and soy.

Throw in a little meat, cheese, olive oil, butter, salt, pepper, etc. for flavor.

You'll lose weight like crazy, and you'll be 10x healthier than when you started. Good luck!

Well...you *can* try something gimmicky to drop weight fast but it isn't healthy for your body and you're likely to put the weight right back on and then some. As long as you don't mind doing damage to your body or gaining the weight back, I'm sure a quick internet search will provide a lot of quick fix solutions!

HI L., I lost 45 lbs since august doing the atkins thing. However, if you don't want to go that far just give up bread, sugar and pasta. Try it for 2 weeks, keep your carb grams at under 20 you will lose approximately 15-30 lbs. I did and I am also hypothryroid, which makes losing even harder, good luck.

This isn't wacky and it is considered healthy. A while back I used Shaklee's Cinch Weight loss shakes and lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks. I used strawberry and it tasted great! Well, I got pregnant.. and lost 20lbs. Morning sickness has it's upside...Hahahaha!

But if you can't do that then try eating smaller meals with protien. My hubby's favorite dish while loosing weight is chicken stir fry. Chicken for protien, brown rice as a good carb, and lots of veggies. When dieting, we eat six small meals per day and make sure each has a good amount of protien to keep us full.

If you want to use a diet plan, Nutrisystem does work as long as you stick to the plan. I tried it last year. I lost ten pounds and then fell off the band wagon. You do pay a lot for the food and you have to also buy fresh fruits and veggies (you eat a salad with lunch and dinner). I'm a chocoholic so the fact that they give you chocolate sold me on the plan. It's good, but not great (it's soy chocolate).

It isn't wacky, but I lost over 50lbs since having my baby in January doing weight watchers.

I guess using those energy pills is kinda wacky, but they do make you feel better, I guess at least in my head anyway :)

My one friend did that liquid cleanse thing with the lemon water stuff and no food. Lets just say her mood wasn't worth the loss.

OOOHHH, there are those wraps, where you go to the salon and they wrap you in a bunch of stuff like a mummy and then I think you sweat it off. I know that only stays off for a few days, but if you need to fit into something for one night, that could work.

Weight Watchers plain and simple!!!!.....Yes they mention and encourage the lowfat/products that have aspartame etc...however, their overall approach is about portion control. Don't want to keep track of points then try their core plan which emphasizes whole grains and fiber, veggies and fruit....I swear that it works because it teaches you how to eat in the real world and healthy ideas....I just started back with Weight Watchers and it DOES WORK!!

Hi , I had my 3rd child in Nov and weight wasn't coming off . I'm cheating , I went to Jorie Medical center in Oak brook and I have to say that I'm very pleased and have lost 27LBs pds . I go for b-12 shots monthly they monitor by blood pressure and weight . My diet is kinda limited , I only eat chicken , fish fresh vegetable certain kinds and fruit but only apples oranges and Grapefruit . Wheat pasta , brown rice .
