Vitamins and Calcium Supplements

As most expecting mother's do, I took my prenatal vitamins without skipping a day. However, once I stopped breastfeeding my daughter, I stop the prenatal vitamins and never started taking regular vitamins just for me. I guess my question is, what vitamin and/or calcium supplement would you recommend?? There are so many choices out there.

What can I do next?

A few years ago we had a Nurse Practioner volunteering at my school and she told us that drinking a slimfast diet beverage was a great vitamin suppliment (in addition to your regular meals). The way she explained it was that because it is a diet drink they load it with nutrients so dieter won't go anemic or malnurish while dieting. She also said that because it was a liquid, your body absords/digests the nutrients better. Sometimes pills can pass through you digestion tract without getting absorbed or digested. Good luck.

Hi S.!
As a new mommy who works part-time and, thankfully, makes the effort to devote some time to yourself for exercise and consider your nutritional needs -- I defintely give you two thumbs up!! Since you are a new mom AND exercise, it is important to keep your energy levels up and well-balanced. Also, as a new mom, your hormones go through a tremendous amount of change for at least a year after giving birth. In addition to taking a multivitamin and calcium supplement, I might even suggest a protein supplement and probiotic to help stabilize your blood sugar and energy and keep your immune system strong during this transitional period.

I realize there a lot of companies and products on the market and those choices can be mind-boggling. Rather than throw out any gimmicks or sales pitches, I simply invite you to visit my personal website. I have had the privilege of making a difference in the health and well-being for people for 16 years for a company that has been at the forefront of the green movement and in business for over 50 years. You may also check my business reviews on Mamasource. Thanks in advance for your time and best wishes in your choice and in great health.

Feel free to contact me if you'd like.

The B-12 dots. They dissolve and taste fruity. They're in a little bottle in the vitamin section.

The rate of absorption is most important when taking a vitamin. Most only have 30% or less that is why a lot of physicians do not recommend them.
Melaleuca has a 90% or higher depending on the individual rate. Your body actually gets the nutrition. I highly recommend them. They have a 90 day money back challenge if you do not feel better.
You can visit www.LiveTotalWellness.com/TEXAS to learn about these vitamins and other safer alternatives for your family.

I know a company that will give you your money back on the empty bottles of their supplements if you don't feel any difference after 90 days - They have over 300 wellness products, but I have to say, I can't live without my supplements! They give me the enegy I need to keep up with my 7 y/o without any adverse side effect. I only get side BENEFITS, including getting paid for my customer loyalty! I'm happy to share more with you if interested!
