Just wondering if anyone knows of any direct sales companies for vitamins and other supplements. If so, are they reputable companies? What have you heard about Herbalife?

What can I do next?

I also have been using GNLD (Golden Neo-life Diamite, the two companies merched back in the 90's) products since I was about 8 years old!! My mother has been a distributer for the company for 25 years. Needless to say, I know how good their products are. I still continue to use their high quality products even after trying Melaleuca and going to the health food store for vitamins. Good luck!

I don't know about herbalife, but if you are looking for a good place to get vitamines inexpensivly go to http://www.vitacost.com. My grandma used to own a healthfood store and she told me to order from this place. They ship stuff really fast and they have a good variety of brands.

We grew up on Neo-Life (GNLD) vitamins. They were very good, natural sources and formulated to be well absorbed by the body. They also sell other products (really really good laundry detergent, earth-friendly). My husband and I haven't been able to afford them (they are pricier than going to the drug store, but then direct sales companies usually are, and it's higher quality).

I did a quick google search on neo-life, and it looks like they're still around. www.neolife.com is their website, hopefully they have a way to find a distributor near you.

Herbalife and Shaklee have been around for years, so probably very trustworthy companies.

I've been a Juice Plus distributor for over 10 years. They have a very narrow product line, (you're not selling make-up and toothpaste too), their 'distributor' discount isn't that much so it discourages the selling point of getting someone to sign up for the hefty discount. There are no artificial ingredients or questionable preservatives. Plus their products have independent, clinical research published in peer reviewed medical journals. As an RN and Wellness Educator who has a background in the research industry, that was important to me. I have been approached by almost every supplement company out there over the years wanting me to endorse and/or sell as a healthcare professional. IN MY OPINION, these are the products I trust. But I don't really endorse them. I've never been much of 'sales person' and more into the education, so I'm not in it to build a business.

I second the Melaleuca vitamins. Our whole family uses them. Their formula allows them to be absorbed better and they have different multi packs that are designed for men or women and with different health focuses. They also have a wide range of other vitamins and supplements for heart health, antioxidants, etc. You can pm me and I can provide you with more info on their different products.

I use USANA and trust everything they sell. Most vitamins and supplements just have to meet the fda standards, and that isn't enough when you're talking about supplements bc you need good research and quality control.

USANA is pharmaceutal grade products so it is 100% pure, extensively researched by top scientists and university and each capsule has the SAME mg.

I don't know a lot about herbalife but my mother tried it years ago and it did nothing for her. id never wage my weight on supplements anyway. it's all about your activity level and what you eat.

I have one of the best delivery systems out there. It's called Isotonix. It's a powder and when mixed with water it becomes the same pressure as your blood, sweat and tears and is absorbed immediately into your system. Where it's a powder we can customize a vitamin to you. We can mix in a multi, calcium, vitamin B....whatever you need. You take one drink in the morning and it has everything you need. And it tastes really good.
I do have to say although I think mine is the best (of course) most direct sales companies have great products. It's the pay plans you have to watch.
:)
For weight loss check out transitions lifestyles. They have supplements to help you but they teach you to eat real food.

Good morning! I'm a distributor for Juice Plus+. Juice Plus+ is whole food nutrition, it is not a vitamin. It is 17 fruits and vegetables condensed into a capsule or a chewy. We all should be consuming 7-13 servings of fruits and veggies every day by FDA guidelines. I eat pretty healthy and I know I don't get that. Juice Plus+ does not replace fruits and veggies in your diet. It helps to bridge the gap between what you should eat and what you do eat.

Have you heard of Dr. Bill Sears? He's considered "America's Pediatrician". This link is his story about how Juice Plus played a part in battling cancer. http://www.askdrsears.com/html/4/t040500.asp His son, Dr. Jim Sears is on the show "The Doctors". They both use and promote JP+.

There are so many studies and articles on whole food nutrition and how it boosts your immune system. If you have a chance, go to www.jillwheatonjuiceplus.com and watch the short video.

My family has been on JP+ for four months now and we see a huge difference. Our digestive health is better meaning we don't have that bloated, constipated feeling. Our immune systems are better. The last time my son caught a cold it did not turn into croup which is actually amazing. Every cold he gets turns to croup and then pneumonia. The last one did not! I couldn't believe it. We have more energy.

The longer you stay on Juice Plus+, the more benefits you will feel. What got me to sign up with JP+ was a friend posted that her kids had not missed a day of school in two years due to illness! That's amazing to me!

So, if you are interested I would be more than happy to get you started. It's $41.75/month for the adult capsules. I know that sounds like a lot but it actually works out to $1.39/day. That's less than $2/day for 17 servings of fruits and veggies. You can't buy that! Kids ages 4-26 can get the chewies for FREE with a sponsoring adult. When you sign up, you will be shipped a four month supply and be billed monthly for it.

If you are interested in earning some income JP+ is a great company. My friend, Beth, who signed me up has only been with JP+ for 2.5 years. She just promoted to the seventh and final level. Her earning potential this year is about $100k. My first goal was to promote to level 3 within two months. I promoted to level two in less than 14 days and level 3 within 6 weeks. I am already earning about $500/month. For us, that's a car payment!

If you are interested in taking it or learning more about income I'd love to talk to you. Let me know if you have any questions or are interested.

The daily nutritional packs contain 5 supplements with multivitamins, multiminerals, prebiotics and probiotics and enzymes, along with bone health and antioxidant formulas. These daily packs are formulated to provide maximum absorbtion. It's not what you take, it's what you absorb. I have never felt better internally and externally since I have been taking these. These power packs are formulated without any animal products or by-products, formulated without gluten and have no artifical colors, flavors or sweeteners. They work for me...good luck on your search.

Hi SH,

We use Melaleuca brand vitamins. They have a patent pending formula that guarantees absorption. I can send you some specifics on how they manage to do that if you're interested. They also have many condition specific supplements as well. There is one heart supplement that has actually been written up in the American Journal of Medicine on eight different occasions for it's ability to repair the heart and prevent heart attacks and strokes.

Melaleuca, the Wellness Company is a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau. They have actually been awarded the BBB Torch Award that is given specifically for integrity. Melaleuca can be a member of the BBB because it is not multilevel sales but is classified as single level marketing. It is simply a referral system and not a distributorship so there is no expense or inventory involved in order to make an income. Customers simply referring customers.

I only have cursory information about Herbalife so I really can't help you there.

Regards,

M.

Hey there, lots of info, but how will you choose?
It's really simple, when I started on my wellness journey 5 years ago i started asking A LOT of questions.
1. How long has the formulator been doing this kind of work?
2. What is his/her reputation in the industry?
3. Have they built a company around a product or a product around a company.
4. Are their products "endorsed" or do the get personal recommendations that they don't get paid for?
5. What kind of guarantee do you get with their products?
6. Does the company stand behind their products? Does their products exceed standards or are they just "enough"?

Then it gets personal?
1. How do you FEEL when you use the products?
2. Do other people notice or do you have to tell them how you feel?
3. Are they family friendly?

I could go on and on...bottom line is, get a feeling for what you want and work with someone you trust. That is how I build my team, one family at a time.

Hi,

My nutritionist recommended the Nature's Sunshine brand nutrition supplements to me, and I have used them. They are certified by NSF, so you know they are guaranteed pure. I have also used the Youngevity products that are promoted by Dr. Joel Wallach. I have to say the Youngevity multivitamin - Beyond Tangy Tangerine is hard to beat. I also like Dr. Wallach's approach. He believes most chronic diseases are the result of nutritional deficiencies and curing the nutrition deficiency cures the disease. Both Nature's Sunshine and Youngevity are direct sales companies. Email me if you want further information.

Hi,
I think I have mentioned Shaklee to you before. They are the number one seller of natural supplements. I have used them for over 16 years and and the products have literally saved my life a couple of times. But any company can get testimonials. It is Shaklee's science and efficacy that sets the company apart from others. They have spent over $200 million on research over the last 55 years and have products that are patented and cannot be duplicated. Actually, the research goes back almost 100 years, as Dr. Shaklee pioneered this field before he started the company. He was one of the first doctors to get an airplane so he could see more patients
than he could with a horse and buggy or Model T!
There are a few other companies that are reputable, but not quite as good. I personally would not include Herbalife among them.
Make sure the company you pick has published, peer-reviewed research in reputable journals. Some companies publish in journals they own--that is junk science. The phrase, "studies show.." should also raise a red flag.
I see that you don't live too far from Shaklee's headquarters and research facility. You can call them at ###-###-#### if you would like a tour. The bldg itself is worth going to see. It is the first environmentally neutral building ever constructed.
