Hello Ladies! I was just wondering how you all were planning on spending Valentine's Day. I would even love to hear all of your stories about past Valentine's Day events. Any special moments, or romantic thing that happened, or even if you were single and had a great time. My husband is planning something and be really secretive, so I will be sure to fill you all in after.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

It was wonderful. He had a night full of romance planned, although with other couples it was still a great evening. Fantastic food from a swanky upscale southwestern restaurant, flowers, chocolates, a heart warming card, and best of all it was a night away from the kids!! LOL I hope you ladies had as good of a time ass I did.

My 4 yr old's birthday is 3/17 and my baby was born 7/7.As for Valentines day, me and my husband try not to go overboard and try to keep it sentimental.I have done everything from dressing sexy, to just waiting on him hand and foot that day to making personal gifts.Last yr I had a box that I had in my closet, and I took a printer piece of paper and folded it into a collar and tie from an idea I got off the net and colored it. I then glued it to the box and wrote how special he was to me inside the paper and baked cookies that had m&m's on top.I say do whatever you think he might not expect. Guys usually think sexual, atleast from my experience so if your gift can sometimes be something hot and sexy, I can promise you (also from experience) that he def. won't object. And don't be afraid to get creative.

Here is my suggestion to all married couples. Although I usually suggest this as a wedding gift or anniversary gift, it certainly works as a Valentine's gift as well. Take one of your leftover wedding invitations and hot glue it to a large pillar candle. If you want you can put some lace or pearl beads around the border. Dip the candle in paraffin wax (get it at the craft store) several times. Burn this candle every year on your chosen date (Valentine's Day, anniversary) to commemorate the love you share.

One other suggestion that has lasting value is to start an I Love You Journal. Get a blank journal and write a love note, poem, memory, whatever on a page and then put it on your dh's side of the bed. When the mood strikes him, he can write something and then return it to yur side of the bed. Keep in mind that this will only work if you are not impatient and expect your sh to write in it every day, every week or even every month! This is supposed to be fun and loving, remember? :-)

Hope this helps,

S.

I dont know what my husband is planning, he gets a kick out of trying to surprise me too. He says he can't let our 7yr old son in on it any more because he tells. Me and my 2 sons are gonna fix a special dinner and be on the front porch dressed nice for him when he gets home from work. Also, I found a web site called FreeNameAStar.com. Its original and gives you the coordinates, it also has name a galaxy. I'm gonna get a picture of the galaxy I got and email it to him. He is a printer so Im just gonna email him to print these for me and sit back and wait for the phone to ring when he sees there is a galaxy named for him from me and our 3 children!
