I would love any ideas for a valentine theme game for a kindergarten class. I am trying to think of something more active and fun than just guessing number of items in a jar, etc. Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

Friend, Friend, Valentine - like duck duck goose
Valentine's Bingo! Use Pictures - like Cupid, Hearts, Arrows, simple words like LOVE, MOM, DAD etc
Get a jar or bowl and put a lot of different shapes in there and have only a few heart shapes they have to find blindfolded. - Love is Blind!
Pin the heart on the Cupid - Have an art teacher draw up a cupid then use the die cut machine and make enough for each student - put their name on it - laminate - use masking tape like a donut and have them pin the heart on the cupid.
My son's pre k class likes to "station" the room and have parents volunteer to help run the stations - we would have three or four things going on and a parent or two for each station (only 11 kids) small groups rotate around to each station
Craft station - games station - food decoration station and so on. That may work if you have parents that like to volunteer their time to the class.

Last year I created a valentine picture bingo for my daughter's class. I found it on the internet and you can tell it how many different cards to print and then it also printed out the pictures to hold up to show the kids! Good luck!

Hot potato
buy or make a stuffed heart and pass it round the circle as the kids sit and music plays in the background, you stop the music and the one with the heart wins. ( or the kids clap for that child)

Limbo-
decorate the stick with red and pink crepe paper play the music and limbo away. it helps if you use two chairs as the two end points of the track the kids walk before they go under the stick. other wise they end up bunching up instead of walking in a circle.

Bingo is fun for kids this age, just use numbers under 25 and maybe instead of B -5 spell out LOVE at the top so it is l -10 or what ever

Musical Chairs
Cut out a heart for each child to stand on, play music as they walk around the room, when the music stops they have to find a heart to stand on. Each time you stop the music take a heart away. the kids have to start sharing hearts and end up hugging each other --ITs darling.

I made two big red hearts out of posterboard. You can find posterboard at the dollars store or deals for a dollar. I made eyes, nose, mouth, ears out of black PB. We played pin the face on the heart. It was just as much fun as pin the tail on the donkey. I used two hearts so that we could have two games going at once. You can also do a relay race with the little candy hearts. Use a spoon to scoop the hearts out of a pail from each lane and then have a pail at the other end to fill. The lane with the most hearts wins! You can find cute little plastic heart pails at the dollar store as well. Have fun, kindergarten is the best because they LOVE alll games!

I don't have the book, but I saved it on amazon b/c I have this bingo game where all the kids get bingo at the SAME TIME. It's probably pretty easy to make a new game that uses V pictures or words, but I just don't have the time. This game is really fun. I didn't buy the book, but it has the game in it. I couldn't find any new games like it online.
