Some of the ladies who are responding are asking what area or subdivision I will be located in? It is in the Fairview subdivision off of Meadowview from the I35 service road. The zip is 76210. Thanks!

Hello moms,

My husband and I are moving to Corinth from Lewisville within the next month or so. We have a few months until our apt. lease is up, but we are closing on our house the end of this month. I have questions on the best available companies for utilities, water, phone, etc. and the best rates from those of you currently in that area. The Corinth website states that Atmos Energy or and Coserv are the providers for gas/electric in that area. We are only in need of electric plus the other services I've already stated. What are the best companies for these services?
A second part to this question on moving to this area, what are the best and nearest areas for grocery shopping?

Thanks in advance for your help.

K. O.

Hi, K.. I live in the Corinth area. We have Atmos and are satisfied. We use City of Denton for other utilities, and they have the best price. Go with the Verizon bundle for phone/internet/FIOS-- it is awesome!
As for shopping, it depends which neighborhood you are in. There's an Albertson's & Super Wal-Mart off of Swisher, but we love the Super Target and Kroger in Denton-- loop 288. They are building another Kroger near the Oakmont area and near Nelson Elementary school that will be convenient from the S. Denton/Corinth area.
Feel free to email with any other questions or share which neighborhood-- then I could give you more specific suggestions.

Welcome to the club!! We moved from our Lewisville apt to our home in Corinth about 3 years ago, and LOVE it here. The schools are great, and there is lots of growth going on too:) We use Reliant for electricity, and the city fro water etc. We do not have FIOS in our area right now, there is some kind of hold up, but we use dish for our tv, and charter for our high speed, and then we have VOIP phone service. We too go to Walmart on Swisher, and are really excited that there is a Kroger being built on Swisher/Teasley (depends on where you are on the road as to what it is called:) There are lots of dr.s in this area, as well as most any other service you could want. What area will you be moving to?? If you need any other ideas or help, please dont hesitate to let me know! Take care and good luck! ~A.~

Hi K.,

I have been a resident of Corinth for the last 5+ years and am so happy in this nice little community. We use Atmos for gas, Reliant for electric and City of Corinth bills for water. The City Hall is located on the Corinth Parkway exit of I-35E so that will be the place to go if you need to set up water.

I do almost all of my shopping at the local Walmart right on the Swisher exit. Except for Sunday afternoons it is never overly crowded. Albertsons is right across the street but they can be more expensive, but still good if I need something quick.

So, welcome to the neighborhood, if you are looking for a church to visit, I hope you will consider coming to First Baptist Church of Corinth on Meadowview just next door to the Lake Dallas High School.

Let me know if I can offer any other info for you!

Hey K.! I have lived in Corinth for almost 3 yrs. We really love it. What area of Corinth are you moving to? We live in Oakmont. I have a 16 month old little boy and a 7 yr old daughter that attends Hawk Elementary. We love the schools. (I know you didnt ask any of those questions) But we use TXU for electric, Centurytel for phone and DSL. We have used Charter in the past for cable internet, and I would prefer that over Centurytel. Centurytel claims to be faster but I disagree. We lived in Denton before me moved to Corinth and we had Verizon and I really prefer that, but where we live in Corinth you cant get that. We use Dish Network for TV. If you have any other questions I would love to talk to you.

I like to shop at Wal-Mart on swisher or the new super Target. Ill be excited when the new Kroger opens up near by.
