Ok with summer coming up (also I have to be in a wedding with a sleavless dress) I am overweight but my biggest issue is that I have been trying to loose the flab under my arms. I have looked up different exercises and I am doing them along with cardio, and trying to eat right. My question is What else can I do that dosn't cost to much? I know when loosing any kind of weight it takes time. But I just want to make sure I am doing everything possible that I can. Lotion, homemade wraps, ANY suggestions? I just hate that feeling when I am not working out there could be other little steps that may help. homemade wraps that i could wear while doing house work or something?

Nope, no magic to this area. Keep working out (I would assume your doing things like tricep dips or extensions, chest presses, push up etc. for upper body) and hope that when you lose weight, some nice, toned arms and upper chest will emerge. Honestly it's like belly fat - doesn't matter how much muscle you have under there, you'll never see it until you get rid of that layer of fat that comes with being overweight.

What may help with the dress is having it altered for the best fit and wearing the best undergarments you can find. The right bra will make all the difference in whether or not the extra padding that's actually on your torso will get pulled into the bra away from your arms or will be pushed out and over the top and look like fat.

Cardio to lose weight then push ups & tricep dips off of a chair to firm up.

Also, you could ask the bride if it would be okay if you could add a shrug to the dress in a coordinating color. Be prepared for her to say no though.

I couldn't tell if the problem is on your arms (i.e. tricep area) or on your upper inner torso (i.e. sausage rolls near bra line). If it's the actual arm, get some 5-10 lb hand weights and do tricep push backs. This is where you bend over slightly, bend your elbow and push the weight back. You can also put a weight in each hand, put arms up over your head and bend the elbows back and hands go behind the head near the upper back... push up repeatedly.

how about getting some hand weights and doing arm exercises.. there are many different ones that help the arms, especially under and the bra fat area... see youtube for video demonstrations and or other free websites. there are a lot of examples out there..
oh and those fitness rubberbands, you can do resistance training with those. or even cheaper, stand up straight, lean into a wall and do upright pushups and then if you like, you can sit and put your arms behind you and bend, again using the resistance of your own body..

Is this in your arms or your upper torso? If this is the roll that you get over your bra it means your bra is too small. Go to a major department store like Penney's and get a bra fitting. If the band is too small you will get rolls both under and over your bra. If the cup is too small you will get a roll near the top of the cup that can go into your underarm.

If this is in your arms exercise if the best way to get rid of it.

there are a lot of things you can do to lessen or get rid of the "wings"

Firming up takes time - but not as much as "losing weight".. Grab a full bottle of your laundry detergent, extend your arm straight up with bottle in hand, bend elbow, bringing your hand/bottle down to your shoulder. Repeat 5 to 10 times.

Next is leaning forward (bending at waist), extending arm to your behind you, then bringing it back to your shoulder. If a full laundry bottle is too much for you - get a smaller one and put sand or water in it. You do NOT need to go out and buy ANY fancy equipment.

Lotions and wraps won't make them go away. The only way to make them go away is with exercise. The other is to have surgery to remove the excess fat.

You are NOT trying to build muscle. You are trying to tone muscle NOT "build" it like a body builder would. There is a difference.

Have you tried any resistance training? Light weights may help tone up your arms a bit. Perhaps you might look into a consultation with a trainer -- many will do this at little or no cost (of course, hoping you'll join the gym, but if you have equipment at home - even soup cans would do the job - that shouldn't be necessary!) Keep up the good work! You can do it!
