My son is turning two in August and I wanted to find a place that could acccomadate mostly under three year olds and many, many adults. Most places I know of like the Clubhouse for Kids and Chucky Cheese seem too old for him and his buddies. Any suggestions? There will be about 8 kids and 20 adults. It was just too crazy at our house last year, we ended up with two parties! Too much planning, too much cleaning, and way too expensive!!! Thanks!

Hi!
We had our son's 2nd Birthday party at The Little Gym in Plano (www.tlgplanotx.com), 4017 Preston Rd
#522 LakeSide Market
Plano, TX 75093
Phone: ###-###-####

We had the whole place to ourselves for 2 hours (or 1 1/2hrs?? can't remember) and it was wonderful. There was plenty of room for all the kids and adults. There's a party room with a child-size table to have cake and they have fun playtime for the kids and some structured circle time with activites for the kids to do. It was so entertaining to watch the kids go crazy and have fun! At the end of the party, they use a bubble machine that blows bubbles from the ceiling down to the kids and they went wild -- it was hilarious!
Hint: if you want to open gifts at the party, tell your party planner (included in the price of party) and she'll give you time for that. I forgot to tell our party planner and we didn't have any time to open gifts. There were so many things on my mind that day, it slipped my mind completely. So tell them in advance that you want to do that. Try to book the party about 2 mo. in advance so you can pick your time/day that you want....they plan weekend parties back to back.
It was well worth the price ... very reasonable compared to what other places charge.
Other gyms that do this, but I haven't been to parties there: My Gym in Plano, http://www.my-gym.com/; EncouraGYM in East Plano, http://www.encouragymnt.com/

Good luck!!

Hi A.,
My friend invited us to her two year olds birthday at Gymboree...it was the best party for that age I have attended. Very age appropriate with space for everyone. I was impressed.

Hope that helps.

I took my daughter (who will be 2 in late July) to Pump It Up for a fundraiser party for a local "sprayground." People told me that younger kids are sometimes scared of inflatables, but my daughter LOVED it after a few moments of uncertainty. When they shut down the party, she was so disappointed. You might try it out and see if it's something your son might like. Parents can get in and enjoy the inflatables too.

You might try Button Lane at Cute as a Button Kids (in Plano off 121) or Happy Land in McKinney. I've been to both places and they are both great for any age.
