I want to make my hubby a slideshow online of pics of our two girls and him and I want it to play a song too. Where do you do yours? Also, what is a good song for daddy/daughter?
I am doing the same thing you are doing for my boyfriend for father's day, but my computer came with a movie maker. I came across this song at the end of a movie (knocked up) and I fell in love with it. Its simply called Daughter by Loudon Wainwright III. I'm a photographer and Animoto is the best program out there for this kind of thing; it's free for private users. I think the url is animoto.com
As far as the music goes, it is actually illegal to synch music to photos without buying special licenses, even if you bought the song/ cd/ mp3/ or whatever. Sometimes the price is reasonable for commercial use but I imagine for home use it is not. That means that you have to use open source music (different copyright, paid by companies like animoto) and you'll find a lot of options on the website to do that.

Roxio is good. They have stock music. I think you can add your own--not sure. "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong or "My Girl" would be cute!

You can download iTunes for free if you don't already have it and pay per song or album to download music. Don't know how to make slideshows on a PC but on Mac the iPhoto application helps you create slideshows and it's super easy. It walks you right through it. The windows media player application may have something similar but I don't know.

I don't know about the slideshows but butterfly kisses! Also I loved her first, playing Cinderella, it won't be like this for long, outside looking in, let them be little, big babies by gary Allan. Google dad and daughter wedding, you'll see tons! Just be prepared to cry (and see your husband cry too!)
I do all mine on Windows Media Player..its on most PCs. I have a CD of old standards that I select from i.e. Come Fly with Me-- Sinatra; Fly Me to Teh Moon--Tony Bennett; Unforgettable--Nat King Cole; The Way You Look Tonight--Bing Crosby; Blue Moon--Mel Torme; Moon River--Andy Williams.
