Tummy Control Products

I love my spanx. I wear them when I wear dresses that need that smooth look. I can actually feel it working when I eat (when my tummy has a tendency to push out a bit) and the spanx is pushing my tummy flat. I bought the highwaisted ones so there wasn't a bulge on top. I'm not terribly overweight or anything, just a little bit here and there that needs a little extra smoothing for certain clothes. I bought mine AT nordstroms. If you go online to nordstroms they sell them for twice the price - don't know why.

I think Spanx works really good, but they can be pricey. If you are going to spend the money on them, buy at Nordstrom and if you don't like them (or find them uncomfortable) you can ALWAYS return them:) Unfortunately, I haven't tried anything other products.

1) Buy something line the Hanes Smooth Illusions Shapewear at your local drugstore (they sell it at Walgreens here in the Chicago area) -- like $7-11 and works WONDERS without breaking the bank.
2) If you exercise and keep a reasonable diet, your stomach WILL go back to where you don't look pregnant :) Keep the faith! My stomach didn't appear FLAT until I quit nursing my kiddo around a year though -- the stomach area held onto a wee bit of padding the entire time I nursed.

Target sells Assets shapewear--tanks and bottoms that are about $20. I like the tanks for a little extra "firmness" on my back fat roll (lol) and it helps with the pants buttoning too!

I don't have any recommendations for spanx, but as for going back to before your were pregnant, I would say it will not look the same. I work out regularly and still have a little "pooch", right below my belly button. It does not seem to go away no matter what I do, however my stomach is relatively flat and it will go down with time, exercise, and diet. Be patient and consistent and you will get there, good luck

Target sells a line called "Assets" that are made by the same woman who designed Spanks. So..same product...less money. And I actually saw some on clearance this week for $10.00!

I can say that if you are looking for a gurdle this is the one to buy as far as fabric but they are very exspensive but so worth it.

I have the same problem and a friend recommended the Kymaro Body Shaper. I ordered it online and liked it so much I ordered one in black and another one in skin color with clear straps so it can be worn under any style shirt without the straps showing. The traditional one does has a high back and I found it would show with certain shirts but the tank top style with clear straps is perfect! It's a little pricey but it holds up so well you will NOT be replacing it! It can be washed in the washing machine and hand dried (although I've thrown mine in the dryer several times and it's been fine). I can't even tell you how slimming this product is! Also, I found deals online where you can buy one and get the clear strap style for free. Lastly, do not waste money on the bottoms...the top covers hip to bra so it's unnecessary.

Target sells Spanx that may not be as high a quality as the ones sold on Amazon, but they do the job. I wear my little high waist thigh and tummy control slimmers whenever I wear a dress and it really makes me look more trim and tone. Now to actually get trim and tone. :)
