After my miscarriage I waited about 3 months then we began trying 5 days after my period started. We tried for 10 days in a row and got pregnant. That's what I did the first time too. That's the only method I've used and it worked twice.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

I don't know how old you are or why you had the m/c, but check with you're doc about taking a baby aspirin (80 mg.) daily while ttc. It's recommended for older moms at risk of m/c.

It is suggested to wait until you at least have 2-3 cycles before you start trying to conceive again. If you have what is called "debris" left over from your miscarriage, it could lead to another miscarriage. There are also people out there who got pregnant right away after a miscarriage and had a normal pregnancy. We waited 3 cycles after our miscarriage before trying again, and we were pregnant 3 weeks later. We now have a very healthy baby boy who just turned 1 :) When we decided to start trying again, I started taking prenatals right away and drank tons of water. I also did the digital clear blue ovulating tests. It all totally worked for us. BUT, we're now preggers with our second and all we did this time was say lets start trying and again 3 weeks later we were pregnant. Don't let trying to conceive consume you because when your body isn't relaxed, things don't work out the way you would like them to. I would suggest starting prenatals right now, but ultimately just have fun. Good Luck to you and your hubby!!!

If you take your temperature every morning (before talking or moving around) then you'll know exactly when you ovulate which will help you tremendously. A women's temperature will rise 1 degree on the day of ovulation & stay there until she has her period. FAM (Fertility Awareness Method) is a great way to learn to chart your cycle so you can know exactly what your body is doing. This is helpful in either trying to conceive or as birth control.

On this site I was recommended to read the book "taking charge of your fertility". I was able to get preg. on the first try after 2 miscarriages.

I'm sorry for your miscarriage, but do have a happy story of conceiving quickly after having one. I have three healthy kids, but had two miscarriages in between my healthy pregnancies. Each time, my doctor said wait two menstrual cycles (I had to have D & Cs both times) then go ahead and try. I was pregnant within 3 months both times. In my case, it was definitely true that I seemed super fertile afterward. Wishing you the same success.

Stop trying. That's my fastest suggestion. Resign yourself to the fact that it could take a long time, pop your prenatal vitamin every day and have sex without protection. The miracles happen when you aren't expecting them (or trying to MAKE them happen).

Eat healthy, add some green leafy vegetables for zinc and other minerals. You might think about getting tested by a nutritional therapist. I did help my cousin get pregnant after miscarriage and no drs could see any problems.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I really recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility - both the book and the website, which has forums on which you can ask all kinds of questions from people who have a ton of experience. The book helps you figure out the signs of when you're ovulating - the test helps, to be sure, but the other signs can give you more forewarning.

My doctor only said to wait one period after my m/c. I got pregnant after two. Good luck!

Definitely try to relax and don't focus too much on it. After my miscarriage I assumed I'd get pg again right away....I was so focused on it and it took me 13 months to get pg. It was pretty much when I'd given up and thought maybe I'd NEVER get pregnant that I did. With my second I got pregnant the first month we tried and I think it was because I literally expected it to take a year. So you just never know...relax and hopefully you will be pregnant again! But you are supposed to wait a cycle or 2 before trying again. Good luck!!! :)
