I just found out we are expecting our 2nd child, and am looking for a dr as my son was delivered in another state and I haven't found a dr here yet. I'm looking for a dr who delivers at El Camino. I don't care on gender. I want a dr who will listen and not force me into anything that I don't want to do. I'm also looking into a midwife instead but am waiting on my insurance company to tell me if one is covered. Can you recommend a dr? Or one the other hand can you tell me a dr to steer clear from? I'll look into whether the dr takes my insurance or not, right now I just want some recommendations. Thanks!!
I chose to go with the midwives at Altos Oaks. I had my first appointment today and am very thrilled and happy with my decision. Thanks for your recommendations everyone.
Dr. Ken Weber is the BEST! I highly recommend him. He's at Altos Oaks Medical center.
I like Dr Anjali Sahai at Altos Oaks Medical group at El Camino Hospital. They also have a midwife who works in their office.

Dr. Sherwin Lewis and his partner (David?) Francisco always get rave reviews. Dr. Lewis delivered by oldest son, and he was great. Their practice is in the Orchard Pavilion at El Camino Hospital.

Not sure if you have the flexibility, but I second the mention of Shefali Gandhi. She is a rock-star as far as I am concerned. I have never received better care ever, with any kind of doctor. She listens, she is extraordinarily skilled and she really cares about her patients. She's one of those people I would trust with anything.

I know that you wanted someone at El Camino Hospital but I have a friend who is a most excellent OB/GYN! She works at Sequoia Hospital and provides some of the best care arouns. Most of the nurses at Sequoia get their care from her! She insists on delivering her own patients and is a skilled laborist. Her name is Dr. Shefali Ghandi. I don't have her number right here with me but you could easily look her up. Good luck in your search!

I've been with my OB/GYN for almost a year. First it was for a gyn problem, she was so patient and nice. She'd return my phone calls and even sometimes save me a visit by communicating by phone. Now that I'm pregnant, it's great to already know her. I'm totally nervous! First baby and all. But she's proven to be the perfect doctor, she took 30 min at my first visit to tell me all the stuff I can and can't do. We talked a lot about my choices in labor. She's doula-friendly. She also has a really really low cesarean rate. I'm not sure about not making you do "anything" but she seems really open and reasonable. I'm very greatful to have found her.
