Does any MOM'S out there in North West Phoenix area know of a really good Fitnees center or Gym For just women? I am looking for one "come as you want"~ It could have a contract but, Not as exstent as those other ones. The facility could be be in Peoria, West Glendale or North West Phoenix area.
My Mother & I have been wanting to join one but don't want all those monthly large cost that goes with them.
We have heard of Curves for women, Does anyone know anything about them?
We are aware of "LA FITNESS & BALLY" who charges alot & you have to sign a contract. wither you go or not.
Any help or info would be appreciated.
Thanks.M..B.

What can I do next?

M.,

I understand your issues with fitness centers. I have tried/belonged to a few different ones. I finally found one that is friendly for Mom's and decently priced. The Shape Xpress for Women on 59th Ave & Union Hills (behind Sonic). The offer a 30 minute circuit workout along with treadmills and other equipment. They have a variety of classes that are all included in your package. Also, there is the infared sauna, tanning bed, water massage bed, massage therapist, dressing rooms, showers, and a play area for Mom's with kids. There are different packages and there was a signup fee when I joined. But, if you mention that a member referred you, you can get a free trial and possibly the same fees. Call and speak with Maxine or Irene and tell them that T. Abbott sent you.

I GO TO PURE FITNESS ON 43RD AVE AND THUNDERBIRD. THERE IS NO CONTRACT. THE INITIAL START UP FEE KIND OF SUCKS. I THINK I PAYED $160 TO START WHICH WAS FIRST AND LAST MONTHS FEE...THEY ALSO ALLOWED ME TO MAKE PAYMENTS UNTIL I PAYED IT OFF WHICH WAS NICE. ITS ONLY $19 A MONTH AFTER THAT AND YOU GET ONE FREE TRAINING A MONTH. ITS NICE BECAUSE YOU CAN STOP WHENEVER YOU WANT WITHOUT PAYING A STUPID FEE OR HAVING TO FINISH OUT A CONTRACT!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

P.S. I USED TO GO TO NATURALLY WOMEN BUT THEY ALL SHUT DOWN AND EVERYONE FROM THERE PRETTY MUCH WENT TO PURE FITNESS. THE MONTHLY FEE IS WAY CHEAPER...I THINK NW WAS LIKE $60 A MONTH FOR MY MOM AND I.

Hello!
I used to go to this center: Naturally Women Metro Center
2827 W Peoria Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85029, ###-###-####
It is for women only and has a child care center for the kids while you work out. They also have several locations around the valley if this one is not convenient for you.
I liked it a lot. I quit only, because I was mostly not going and that that point they had a contract. I think they have changed now to a month-to-month deal.
Good luck!
