Dear Moms,

My DH and I have been going through fertility treatments to get pregnant. We may have acheived our goal, but we are not sure as of yet. I was wondering if any other woman had experienced what feels like a slick tongue and a film in the mouth while pregnant. I am bloated, my breasts are swollen, and I have been having nausea. Today, my mouth started having these weird feelings.

I don't want to get my hopes up too high as of yet, but I wanted to know if anyone had experienced this.

Thank you for your advice in advance!

J.

Did you use Lupron in your fertility treatment? In my last round of treatments, I used Lupron and that was the one that worked. I had similar symptoms as you as far as the mouth thing was concerned. I also had a week or so where everything had a very metallic taste. Good luck!

Are you late or about to have your period?
The nausea is not a pms symptom. I would see about
getting a pregnancy test, and if it is negative, then
your fertility method is having a side affect that is
not pleasant. *nausea*.

My first clue to my only pregnancy was that my breasts were HUGE and extremely tender. If your symptoms persist for a few days, I'd take a pregnancy test. I didn't take one for over 2 weeks because I just KNEW I just couldn't be pregnant!! Heee...

Anyway, I hope you've achieved your goal!

With both pregnancies (first w/help, second without), everything tasted funny to me. It was almost a metal taste in my mouth. Things I loved to eat or drink suddenly tasted awful to me (this symptom was before my missed period with my second who had much higher hcg level).

Good luck to you, I know how difficult it is to go through fertility treatments. It is all worth it in the end. I'll keep you in my prayers that you will be pregnant soon.
