Can anyone recommend a good, inexpensive toddler travel bed? I'd like something that doesn't make a lot of noise when she moves around, since she's one to roll around a lot when she sleeps. We have a Cars air mattress for her older brother that's just too noisy (no one can sleep in the same room as him when he uses it). If you like a sleeping bag, let me know ... that's one option I'm considering.

If you google toddler travel cot, you should come up with some shopping hits. I was searching around a few months ago for one. I decided to hold off until we have definite travel plans.
These cots fold up so you can pack it in a suitcase. I think because they would sink into the cot a bit, it prevents the kid from rolling around too much.
There is also the Peapod Travel bed. It's more like a tent.
I guess it depends how far you are traveling. We bought one of the small mattresses from IKEA and our son sleeps next to our bed on the floor when we visit the grandparents. It's smaller than a crib mattress and it folds for storage, but it would not fit in a suitcase. You might consider a bed rail for a hotel bed for your son and a pack n play for your daughter. There's also a company that will deliver just about anything you would need for a vacation to your hotel. www.babytravellite.com It's pricey, but saves you the hassle of schleping so much yourself. Actually, I have the air mattress sleeping bag for my son. We can't hear him move around in it. I recently saw the Cars version of it at Wal-Mart online in a cot form. They may have it is dirreerent stles for you. I also looked into One Step Ahead items. Good luck.
I saw the post about searching for a travel cot - we've got the phil and teds one. It was ~$150, so not exactly cheap. I love ours, but it may not be right for you. The selling point for me was the weight and size as I took it to India with me when I went on a business trip with my then 6 mos old daughter - I was traveling alone so it had to be light and small. She's now 1.5 yrs, and we have taken this thing camping and use it at least once a month on date nights when we drop her at a pj party walking distance from our house. (She won't fall asleep otherwise... and she turns into a pumpkin at 8PM!)
The cons - it is hard to put together - not like the pack and plays that can be fully assembled in seconds, this one takes minutes. Basically, it assembles like a tent. It has a thermarest air mattress, which is not very plush, but fine for my daughter, and probably awesome if you'll be using this on a carpet. It is reasonably skinny, so it works fine for my kids, but may not be for everyone. You'll want to make a sheet or something for the air mattress as it is really a scratchy, standard thermarest. I made a sheet, but I bet 2 pillow cases would work...
So, I actually love ours, but I admit if a standard pack and play would meet your needs, those things are cheaper and easier to assemble. Plus everyone makes a sheet for those...
