My daughter is 2 1/2 and we went out boating this weekend and Sunday after a long Nap back to shore she woke up with her left eye super swollen, not red insdie or itchy just swollen... I gave her Allegra for kids and it started to go down, but stilll today its a bit swollen... Checked for a Mosquito Bite and nothing.
She did have a little bit of Conch salad and she was touching some flowers were we ate... Other than that just, sun , salt water and sunscreen... any words of advise...?

What can I do next?

I would probably call the doc too but possibly she's allergic to one of the flowers or something and then rubbed her eye? It may be something that she's never come in contact with so you'd never known it before now. It probably isn't the conch if it's affecting her eye, but it's worth a call to the ped. I think!

It sounds like a stye - it's possible all the elements worked together to create a bacterial infection & an oil gland in the eyelid could have become blocked. They normally happen along the edge of the eyelid & look like a pimple, the eyelid becomes swollen & painful & the eye may water (as per webmd.com - you can get more info there.)

If it doesn't go away in a couple of days I would take her into an eye doctor to get checked out.

You can try going to the doctor and getting Sodium cromoglicate eye drops. It's an anti-inflammatory eye drop. If not, you can go get eye drops over the counter to help it from getting infected and hurting her. Don't use them too much or it causes a dependency on them, but following the directions I doubt it will. She could be reacting to pollen, the flower itself, allergic to Conch (unless she's had shellfish before, usually you are allergic to all shellfish), or got salt water or sunscreen in her eye.
Maybe she needs a dose of allegra for kids today and it will go away?

When we took our almost 2 year old to Maine in 2008 she woke up with her left eye swollen shut. We all freaked out - she wears glasses so anything dealing with her eyes is trauma for us. We took her to the ER - she had a bad reaction to a mosquito bite. The MD gave us benadryl and told us to put warm wash cloth compresses on it as often as she would allow it. By the next day she could see again and by the 3rd day it was completely gone. I hope she is okay - you might not see where the bug bit her. Just a thought.
