Toddler Shoes for Winter.

Hey! I'm now wanting to stock up for winter and shoes are the big one. I want flexible soles for his (11 months old) developing feet, but Pedipeds are a bit much to keep buying (even on ebay. The size I need, apparently everyone else does so they aren't much cheaper) and they don't really stay on my son's feet very well.
Right now since it's still warm I have him in Ministars that are sold at Target and I like them, but not sure what to get my son once it snows. He goes to daycare and is required to be in shoes so I am thinking the Ministars will be fine when he is in daycare and not going outside.
So I guess what I am asking is what are some good flexible soled boot for when he and I go and play outside. Know of any??

What can I do next?

check lands end, i love their shoes/boots for winter, i dont know if they have his size. they also have funny sizing, i always end up exchanging, so if there isnt a sears by you might not be worth it, shipping-wise... my kids live in those boots and the all weather mocs all winter and they still look brand new

Stride Rite makes shoes for all stages of walkers, including extremely flexible, lightweight, rubber-soled shoes. They might have boots also. www.striderite.com

we love carters brand sneakers from Kohls. They always last my daughter until she grows out of them. Other shoes wear out before she does, but not the Carter's brand.
