We need to remodel one of our bathrooms. Has anyone had their tub and/or tiles reglazed? Are you happy with the result? Any info you can give me would be helpful! Thanks.

Hi K.
I just re glazed my bathtub 3 months ago. We used AARCO BATH SYSTEMS # ###-###-#### they are located in Elmhurst. A very professional company. We bought a house and the bathtub was brown/pink and we re glazed it white and it looks brand new. It cost 325$

Good luck

Hello,
We had this done this summer on the bathroom in our new house. I'd say I'm 85 percent happy with it; we really needed something fast to improve what we had, and this was the most economical option as we didn't want to redo the whole bathroom. The things I like about it are that it looks nice and it's incredibly easy to clean... no more moldy grout! What I don't like is that I think our guy was a bit lazy with taping off the surrounding areas as well as cleaning out old grout so there are areas that just don't look as nice as I would have liked, as well as a few spots of the enamel on our walls (not tiled). If we redid our bathroom in the future with more time/money/energy, I would probably not go this route, though if we decided to try it, I would try a different vendor. We used Beautiful Finishes, because we played phone tag with Aarco for quite a while and it got down to the wire of when we needed it done. Aarco was more highly rated on Angie's List, and probably would be the better choice. We have a lot of tile that includes all the walls that surround our tub, including the ceiling above it; it was about $700 to do all of it, and it was done in a day. I'm thrilled that it's so easy to clean and was much more affordable than redoing the whole bathroom, but if we had had more time before moving, I would have researched it a bit harder to make sure it would turn out well. I would, however, definitely try it for refinishing a claw foot tub, as the results with that look really great!

We had our tub resurfaced a couple years ago in our old condo. It looked great! It wasn't very expensive, but looked like new. You need to keep the window open for ventilation, so something to consider if you are planning to do it within the next few months. Unfortunately I don't remember who we used. Good luck!

We did it about 12 years ago and it stood up well. We were told when we did it if the bathroom was a daily use shower it wouldn't last more than a few years. I have a ten year old son (no he doesn't use it everyday) and it is holding up well. We are getting ready to do it again because it is starting to chip (we bath our lizard in it so the chipping is from him not bad quality) but we have a great old cast iron tub so we don't want to yank it out. This was a great option! I am sure the materials they use now are even better than 12 years ago!

We did it about 5 years ago and it didn't last very long, I don't know if it's because we used it within a week, but I still have warranty so I will give them a call now that I'm looking at the receipt. It cost me about $245
