I have. I have driven them to school in my leopard print fleece PJs and slippers, Usually, if I am driving the kids to school in my PJs, I haven't washed my face, brushed my teeth or combed my hair - bedhead! I look pretty bad in the a.m I am lucky that I have never run into anyone that I know, got stopped or car trouble.

One day I went to take my 1st grader to school in my PJs...(we were running late, late, late.) he was shocked and embarrased. MOM YOU ARE WEARING PJs you can't take me to school. Then when I dropped him off - I asked for a kiss good bye ....he said no you are wearing PJs and I don't want anyone to see you.

Oh my. I was laughing to myself...

Ha! I used to do it daily! No combing the hair either, lol! My only concern was that I had a cup of joe in me before I put the key in the ignition!

Okay, I have never driven my kids to school while wearing MY pjs. However, I did take my kids to school once when they were in kinder when they wore their pjs....and we walked. They refused to get out of bed and when i told them to get up or else, they still refused. They finally got up with just 10 minutes to get to school, in the door. Oh well, grabbed their back packs and we left the house. Teacher was surprised.

I sure did!! I walk my dog around the small block when I am working from home in my jammies as well.

Added: Oh Dawn, the police mention rang true to me. On an early Sunday morning one of my neighbors's small dogs got attacked by a huge dog. She came to my house for safety and the owner took off. I was in my jammies with total bed head when the police came...very embarrassing!!

When one of my kids constantly missed the bus I'd always be in P.J's. He was such a slow mover in the morning he'd be tardy frequently and I'd have to get dressed so I could sign him in late in the office. I threatened to walk him into school in my jammies if he was tardy again...and he was.. and I did. The secretary was a friend of mine, gave me props. It cured him for a while.

Every morning:)))))

I dont get showered and dressed until my youngest gets on his Bus at 12:15pm. So I get to do the walk of smelly shame onto the bus to get him buckled...I sometimes wonder if the bus driver thinks I am one of those mama's who sits and watching soaps all day long......I always want to be like....Now time to go shower:)

I have no shame with it though.

It is the days when I dont feel like getting dressed at all....That is when I ask myself if I am loosing it:)

No that it is summer, I can sleep in comfy Capri and they can second as my outfit for the next day......all I need to do is add a cute tank top(not always clean)and hope for the best....I try to keep consistent in what I wear though outside during the summer.....I ended up with like four different shoulder/tank top tan lines last year.....Then a knee shorts line and Capri line.......My TOMS tan line is my favorite though:)

Novel for such a small question....Second day of summer half way done and I am already going nuts!!

Added: I just saw that some other posts took your "their" as the moms wearing pj's driving to work! Aha!! Yes, I've done that many times this year when my highschooler missed the bus or just wanted a ride. I live a half mile from the school. Put on a jacket, get in the car, drive, drop, go home. Thank God I never got pulled. The policeman would have died laughing at my get-up! Now for the early version when I thought "their" meant the kids: LOL!

I have! Daycare, that is... when we lived an hour away. I'd change diapers in the morning, feed them and wash their faces, and then change them when I got to daycare. Not all the time, but when I was running a little late or if they were crabby and I was afraid of running late.

Hey, I knew people who had such trouble dressing their kids in the morning that they put clean clothes on them after bath at NIGHT and took them to daycare like that! Some people get fired if they are late, and dressing a fussy kid sometimes has to take backseat to the job! LOL!

Let's rename this "The Walk of the Determined"!

I did... when my kids were younger. And a few times even now.
We have a van.
They could change in the van before school.
Some days.... we were running late, kids dragging their feet... we HAD to leave to be on time, I got them in the car still in the pj's.
Threw regular clothes in the van, drove off, got to the school, parked, had them change into school garb, then out the van to get to class.

When in preschool, kids went to school in their pj's on occasion. They can get away with it, when younger.

OH SORRY! Did you mean YOU in your pj's or your kid?

Me? a couple of times.
I've seen other Moms do that too.
So funny.

My kids walk to school on their own now, but when I used to walk them I often did it in my pj's. The odd time I have to run a forgotten lunch or homework to the school I may do that in pj's as well. I wear 2 piece flannel pj's, no sexy nighties.

I do.

I drop my 4 1/2 year old at preK and the baby at daycare in my pjs, and since they are little, I have to get out of the car and take them in. Some days it is just easier to get them to school/daycare then run back home to get myself ready.

Yup, I've driven them in my PJs. But only in the winter and my pjs are flannel bottoms with a sweatshirt. If I end up walking them, I get dressed - at least throw on a pair of jeans with the sweatshirt :)

Haven't yet, since she is not that age, but I am guessing that I will. Since I work from home, on the days my daughter does not have activies I saty in my jammies most of the morning.

The folks at work sent me a web cam so they could see me during meetings and it is still in its box.... :) and it will stay that way as long as possible!

I WAH and my hours are 6 - 3, so it's a daily walk for me since I don't shower till lunch, lol. Only if I drive them though, if we're actually walking I'll put on sweats; but always a hat, no way I'm doing my hair that early!!
