Is there some sort of glossary for some of the terms that people are using on here? I figured out SAHM, but I am so lost when it comes to some of the other one! For instance what is DS and DD. I have seen those a few times and I just don't get it!

Thanks for filling me in!

If you are ever in need, I refer to www.netlingo.com & this will have it. =)

SMof1 = Single mom of 1
LO = Little One

Really check out this site... it is all in there. these abbreviations are standard for all web sites, texting, etc.... real eye opening & when you see your teens writing these, you WILL be able to read what they are talking about!

DD, DS, DH I believe are Darling Daughter/Son/Husband. AF had me confused forever!!! I finally figured out if was Aunt Flo! So it was slang for slang, hahahaha;) After a while you just catch on, just wait, you may catch yourself using them before you know it!! I still see some that I don't get, but I am getting pretty current!

Funny that you ask because I had to ask also!!!! DS is dear son and DD is dear daughter. DH is dear husband. Personally, I prefer to just use son, daughter and husband. But to each his own, right?!!

There are so many "Net Lingo" abbreviations that I just can't keep track any more. One sure thing I can tell you, is that these "mamas" here will answer any question you have about these shortcuts....and never make you feel bad. JUST ASK when you come across the unfamiliar. You will get an answer from many helpful people.

Lol! Me too sometimes. I know most of them, but still just say hubby, son, kid, daughter, but I do use things like SAHM and SIL because they are multiple words. I always thought that DD was Darling Daughter, I guess both could be right. I usually have no clue about the terms used for conception questions. TTC is the extent of my knowledge there. I also have to look them up from time to time. :)

We were confused too! I think (?) DS & DD mean Darling Son/Darling Daughter - DH Darling Husband. BUT when my kids were younger (now 16 & 18) I saw them type POS and finally found out that meant Parent Over Shoulder when they we on with their friends....pretty smart huh?

I love the PITA one!!!!! Thanks for sharing
