Has anyone experienced this??? My son is just turning 7 months this week and for the past 3 or 4 days he has been doing this angry sounding noise when he is upset about something. Its like he's throwing a baby temper tantrum. He does it when I'm feeding him solids and he wants another bite faster than I can get one to him. Or when he is wanting to do something other than what he is etc. I don't know where this is coming from he is usually very easy going, he just hangs out and is happy doing whatever. Everyone has always commented on how easy of a baby he is and its true we were bless with a great baby. Its just now these random little fits. Is it a phase? Does this mean he is going to be throwing fits like this later on? I don't respond to him in a way that he would get what he wants, as best I can with a 7 month old. I don't want him to think it is ok for him to do this later to get what he wants. Any advice would be great! Thanks Moms!

Sounds normal to me. He's just frusturated and can't express himself any other way. I agree with giving him some finger foods. I wouldn't worry about giving him what makes him happy. I don't think you can spoil a baby that little.

Sounds like he's frustrated..they all do it..Let him go, he's fine..It's what makes them tick and learn..He's trying to do something out of the norm..sit him somewhere new..with new things. Try letting him feed himself. See if he's fixated on something, he may be trying to reach for it. He's not mad at you, but getting upset with not being able to do what he wants to do...LOL..next thing you know, he'll be asking you for money and taking the car. You don't give it to him...then your REALLY gonna see a tantrum. :|

My 7-month-old son does the same thing. I think he started it at 6 months. Is it like a growl or grunt? We think it's funny and just make the same noise back at him. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. A fit generally has a lot more crying to it. I think he's just asserting himself about what he wants or showing you how tough he is (that's how we see it). We call our baby "bear" because he always growls and grunts and he's chubby like a little baby bear.

I think its perfectly normal. My son does the same thing when he is frustrated or upset. He really does seem like he's angry, but he's just trying to express himself. My son started this around 6 months also and now he is almost 9 months and does not do it as often any more. He's actually much more content now. I think it was a phase he went through because he was trying to become more independent (eating solids, sitting up, etc.)
