Is it possible for a 11 week old baby to be teething? My son has been acting a little fussy. He has been drooling alot and sticking his whole hand in his mouth.
I touched the bottom of his gums and I think I feel something. I did not think he should already be teething..

What can I do next?

My daughter started teething early, lots of wet bibs!! she is now 5 months and 3 weeks, and she has two bottom teeth, and they are sharp, those first few teeth are a bear, and than their little bodies get used to it, it's strange what they go through, low grade temp. and sometimes diarrhea, but they cut teeth, and a few days later they are calm again, until the next round of teeth.

My daughter's teeth broke through at exactly 4 months. I felt really guilty about not realizing that her fussing was teething. We changed her formula and thought she had colic. It never even occured to me, a first-time and sleep deprived mother, that she could be teething already. It is very possible that your baby is teething. At least you realized it!

Hi S.
It can happen. My 6 year old daughter teethed around 11 weeks or so..they will teeth for a while then stop all together. Then a few months later teeth again. Now my son didnt get his first tooth till he was close to 12 months.. crazy how that works. Hope this gives you some comfort on the situtation.

My now almost 7 month old did the same thing and we still have no teeth...I have been told it is VERY normal for them to do this for up to 6 months before the teeth actually come through. Just load up on bibs!!!

absolutely, your baby could be teething.
At Whole Foods (and I think Wal-Mart as well, now) you can get some homeopathic dissolving tablets that worked well with both my kids. When I first heard of this it sounded a little hokey, but it really worked!!!

He may have an ear infection. Fussy-ness and droolng can also be signs of that as well.

Yes; it's very possible. Just be patient; it may still be a while before any teeth show.
