I was wondering if anyone can give me any good tips about teething. My son is 5 months old and has started to cut teeth and he crys and crys 90% of the day the other 10% he is sleeping. Any ideas???

What can I do next?

Hyland's Teething Tablets!!! They are magic....they can be found at Wal-Mart near the prenatal pills. I just picked some up the other day for my daughter.

Teething is one of the worst things about being a baby and a parent. Infant TYLENOL will work wonders, soft flexible teething toys and rings {refridgerated, cold wash cloths too.-oh and baby oragel works. Some moms I know rub babies gums while they are sleeping to help the tooth pop through the gums {i never could do it} Just remember they don't remember it - and it shall pass. Make sure there isn't another culprit. Hope this helps *hugs*

Hi K....My daughter is 3yo and I was lucky to run across a GREAT remedy quite by accident. I was changing the channels and Regis & Kelly was on...I caught the show long enough to hear Kelly say "..if it wasnt for Hyland Teething Tablets I would have lost my mind..." I went RIGHT OUT to the store (CVS & Walgreens I know have them here in the south hills) and bought a small bottle. They are relatively cheap considering the effect they had on my daughter...around $5-6 for 300 teeny tablets!! I SWEAR BY THEM...they are ALL NATURAL and for us they did WONDERS!! For the molars I will warn you they are STILL TOUGH but seemed to take the edge off!! Best of Luck..you WILL get through the LONG days of teething soon!

This may sound alittle weird and over doing it but it works wonders. Get a bottle of rum, put you're finger in it and rub it along his gums. This really works, mothers have been doing this for years. In my family it has been going on for five generations and it really works.

I tried Teething rings but the got to cold on the hands. So I would wet the end of a rag and freeze it and give it to my boy. It seem to work wonders for me.

Tylenol, and if your ped allows it (becuase some don't under 6 months), motrin I find works better.

The best thing i have every tried with all three of my kids is a gave them a frozen waffle, you just have to watch so when it defrost they don't choke. but it helped all of them. They are now 6,3, and 7 months.

Hi! Give him some Infant Motrin (call your ped to see how much to give him) It works great! Poor little guy. I have also heard that teething tablets work great. They are very safe and they work instantly, you can find them in the baby section of your local drug store. Good Luck!!

I would wet a face cloth and stick it in the freezer. Then allow my daugther to suck on it. She loved it. I have also heard that frozen waffeles work well. I have never tried that. Goodluck!

Please don't give your son Motrin until he is at least 6 months old! Infant Tylenol will work fine until then & only use the Motrin at your pediatrician's discretion!!!! Teething rings that are cold work great as well, just remember not to put them in the freezer, it will pass soon! Good luck!
