My daughter's two top front teeth have been loose for going on 6 months. There is no tooth growing in behind it and they are quite loose, but just won't budge. Has this happened to anyone else?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well, we pulled the left one this morning. Evidently, she was messing with it ALL DAY yesterday and by this morning it was barely hanging on. I think the other one will be out soon. Thanks for all the comments!

hello,
It is ok sometimes it can take up to 6 to 9 months for them to get loose enough to pull as long as there are not teeth growing behind or under them you should be fine. but if they get to bothering her take her and get them pulled. moms old trick give her an apple a day and they minght just come out in the apple if they are loose enough.
hope this helps a bit.

Supposedly the teeth will come out when they are ready, but that has not been the case with my oldest daughter. She has teeth growing where they aren't supposed to, and teeth that are being kept from growing in by other teeth. This is going to cost us big time with braces, so you might need to take her to the dentist for xrays and to see what he thinks might be normal. I was told that my daughter was losing her teeth very slowly, because she grew them in very slowly, but like I said, we are having problems now.

My 8 year old son had the same problem. His teeth would stay loose forever but just wouldn't come out. The dentist has had to pull the 4 teeth he's lost because his permanent teeth were trying to come in and were absessing his gums. The dentist said he may have to pull all of them as they are ready because my sons tooth enamel is so thick that the roots aren't disolving, kind of sad that he has to have them pulled, but the upside is that he shouldn't ever have problems with cavities with tooth enamel that thick!

My oldest son had his top two teeth loose for a little over a year. There is not a problem with this at all. When their perminant teeth come in it will loosten them and they will have fun pulling them. He finally pulled them both within 20 minutes of each other. The funny thing is, the one that was loose the longest is a couple months behind the other one coming in.

My daughter lost one of her bottom teeth about a year ago and it still has not grown back. When I asked her dentist about it he said it was normal. So, I wouldn't worry about it unless the teeth start to come in and the teeth don't want to fall out.
