Hey Ashley! Don't be alarmed. My sonis 17 months old and has 12 teeth. The first two that came in were what some people call the vang or vampire teeth (on top)lol! His second two were in the same place, but on the bottom. Also he was under 8 months old. I also wondered about that. His pediatrician said that was ok because children develop at different rates. Basically she said that he just developed fast.

They don't have to come in the way they say they do, that's just what most of them do. My little girl started getting teeth at 3 months old even though they aren't supposed to do that. Just remember it's all about averages. I wouldn't worry about it :)

Hi, Ashley. My daughter is a little over a year old, and her teeth came in the "normal" way, but I know a few moms whose babies had teeth come in like your daughters teeth. They all said it was nothing to worry about. All babies are different! Dont worry about it! Hope this helps!

Ashley,
My daughters bottom teeth came in first and then her top teeth. She got the top eye teeth at 11 months. She is not 13 months. So she has 6 altogether: 4 on top and 2 on bottom.
I don't know if anything is wrong or not. It may just be "her". But if you are really worried, next time you go to the dentist for a check up, ask your dentists or call. Your dentists should know about things like that. I just always make a rule for myself, when in doubt, call and ask a professional.
You are probably alright though. I wouldn't stress too much unless they never come in or are coming in sideways or something.
But call and ask someone to make sure.

Teeth can come in in any order. As long as you keep them clean, she will be fine.

Hi! My husband is a dentist and says that there is no "right or wrong" way for the order in which teeth come in and no real timeline as to when they do. So don't worry about your daughter's teeth... just "enjoy" the teething process. LOL!

Ashley,

My ex-husband was a dentist and oral surgeon. He told me that there is no set rule on which teeth come in first years ago. I've since read this several places. Typically, the central incisors (middle teeth) on the upper & lower come in first. However, my daughter got her 2 bottom teeth, then her 2 upper laterals (the ones btwn the two middle and the canines) and then the 2 upper middle teeth - she looked silly but cute, too. Now she's getting one on the top and one on the bottom on opposite sides! She will be a year old on Sept. 29th. I would say not to stress out too much about the order of the teeth as they come in. The important thing is that you start brushing them with a very soft small toothbrush to get her used to this and to keep them clean since she's probably eating more solids now. Enjoy this time with her and her 'new looks'!

My daughter had the same teething pattern. She is now almost 3 and has a beautiful set of teeth. Don't worry. Each child is different and the way teeth come in is no different.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. My son is 4,its been awhile, I am thinking it was his bottom tooth that came in first. My son got his first tooth at two months, and most all of them except molars before a year old! I guess its different for everyone. If you ever need someone to talk about what you went through , I can be your email pal if you want. Sorry again for your loss.
